Day 1. Welcome to Lima!
Welcome to Peru! Arrive in Lima then enjoy a transfer to your accommodation. As Peru's capital, Lima is a modern metropolis buzzing with activity year-round.
Lima is synonymous with gastronomy, so on your first night enjoy a typical Lima meal - ceviche and a pisco sour.

Day 2. Lima

After the tour, head to Parque del Amor in the Miraflores neighborhood to see Lima's stunning coastline. Have lunch in Miraflores before visiting the Larco Museum, offering one of the largest, best-presented displays of ceramics in Lima.
Sightseeing tour of Lima
Embark on a tour of Lima's main avenues, boulevards, and squares, beginning with an exploration of colonial Lima which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. First, you will stop off at the Plaza de Armas, where you see the square on foot and admire the exteriors of the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, and the City Hall - all examples of Lima's still-present colonial architectural opulence. Walk through the Cathedral’s numerous chapels, discover its various architectural styles from Renaissance to Neo-Classical, and learn about the religious history of Peru. End the tour with a visit to the pastel yellow San Francisco Convent built in the 17th century. Explore the lavish interior and visit the catacombs, ancient underground cemetery of Lima.
Day 3. Lima - Cusco
Following breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to the airport for your morning flight to Cusco.
In the evening, enjoy a walking tour taking you to Cusco Cathedral and the Inca sun temple Koricancha.
A Tip For Your Trip: Chewing coca leaves or drinking coca tea will help you adjust to Cusco's high altitude.

Walking tour of Cusco

Continue the tour with a stroll through the Plaza de Armas, where you will discover the imposing Cathedral and admire its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Day 4. Cusco - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
Fuel up with breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Ollantaytambo train station for your expedition to Machu Picchu. Once you arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes, you’ll have a shuttle bus escort you to the citadel followed by a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Once you've ooed and awed at the magnificent ancient civilization, a shuttle bus will escort you down from Machu Picchu back to Aguas Calientes.

Sacred Valley tour with visits to Ollantaytambo ruins & Pisac Market
Visit one of the last remaining Incan towns, Ollantaytambo, which was once fiercely guarded by a massive fortress. Discover the large archaeological complex that used to serve as a wayside inn for royal delegations on long journeys. Surviving structures here include multiple walls and towers used to protect the citadel from possible invasions. After touring the ruins, continue along the Sacred Valley to Pisac, a beautiful village where Incan and Colonial influences have created the unique way of life of the local inhabitants. Explore this quaint town, famous for its artisan market where you can find extraordinarily fine jewelry, ceramics and textile craftwork.
Day 6. Cusco
Today, enjoy a full day in Cusco at your leisure. Pay a visit to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art housed in a former convent in the Plaza de las Nazarenas. This museum is wonderful for visitors looking for a different perspective on pre-Columbian ceramics.
Hike up to the San Blas neighborhood and pick up a few souvenirs to take home. In the evening, indulge in a few of Peru's delicacies.
Day 7. Cusco - Lima
Today, transfer to Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima. Once you arrive and settle into your hotel, dine on fresh seafood and say cheers to an unforgettable vacation with a Pisco Sour, Peru's national drink!
