Time difference
Mexico has several time zones, but the centre (including Mexico City and Cancún) is generally at -7h in relation to Europe. Daylight saving time does not occur on the same dates as in Europe, and some regions do not observe daylight saving time.
Electricity and internet access
Mexican plugs are type A and B, with a voltage of 127V. An adapter is required for most European appliances. Internet coverage is good in cities and tourist areas, but can be more limited in rural areas. International hotels generally offer free Wi-Fi access, making it easy to stay connected.
Safety
Tourist areas are generally well secured, but caution is advised, especially in large cities such as Mexico City. Don't show valuables and only use official taxis or transport apps to get around. Mexico has a wide variety of climates depending on the region, from desert in the north to tropical in the south. The best time to visit central and southern Mexico, including the Cancún region, is during the dry season, from November to April. Languages
