You will be greeted by our English-speaking representative and transferred to your hotel in the capital, San José. You will receive your travel itinerary, settle into your room, and spend your first night at the hotel in San José.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, depart in a shared transfer to your next destination: Puerto Viejo, Limón. Stretching along the extensive southern Caribbean coastline, the beautiful town of Puerto Viejo and its beaches are among the most relaxing and exotic in the Costa Rican Caribbean. With its warm, calm waters, this tropical paradise is ideal for laid-back travellers seeking a getaway in a picturesque seaside township. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy your free time to relax in the hotel's facilities or explore the surroundings on your own.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, meet one of our local representatives for a shared transfer to Bocas del Toro, crossing the Sixaola border that separates Costa Rica and Panama. After paying the exit taxes for Costa Rica and entry taxes for Panama, you will proceed to the Almirante region where you will take a boat to reach Bocas del Toro. Upon arrival, make the most of your stay in this beautiful destination.

*The Costa Rica exit taxes (£7) and Panama entry taxes (£4) are not included and must be paid in cash when crossing the border between the two countries. These amounts are indicative for the year 2024 and are subject to change without notice.

Hotel: 4-star Playa Tortuga Hotel & Beach Resort (or similar)

Breakfast is included at the hotel. You will be picked up from the hotel at the agreed time. Once passengers have donned their life jackets, we will begin our boat trip directly to Dolphin Bay. As it is their ideal habitat in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, this bay is home to an abundance of fish and shellfish. There, you can usually spot friendly dolphins jumping, swimming, and playing in pairs and groups. Around noon, the boat heads to Cayo Coral where you will have the opportunity to enjoy exquisite Panamanian Caribbean dishes (not included) at a restaurant with a scenic view of the sea. Your next and last destination of the day will be Cayos Zapatilla, where you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. On these islands, you can swim, dive, and snorkel for the rest of the afternoon.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Free day to relax, explore at your own pace, or take an optional excursion to Bocas del Toro.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, set off and meet our local representative so they can transfer you to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. You will press on by boat to Almirante, to take the group transfer to the Sixaola border and then continue to Puerto Viejo de Limón. Once at your hotel, you can relax at your leisure.

Early in the morning, meet at the hotel reception for the group transfer to the pier to reach Tortuguero. On the way, you will stop in the town of Guápiles to enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant before taking the boat to Tortuguero and sailing through the famous canals brimming with flora and fauna in the heart of the rainforest. Check in at the lodge then have a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Tortuguero on the other side of the canal and the small beach in the area, which is a nesting site for turtles.

*Between July and October, you can take an additional night-time excursion, at your own expense, to observe the nesting of green, leatherback, or loggerhead sea turtles.

*The order of activities in Tortuguero may vary depending on the hotel's operations.

Hotel: 4-star Pachira Lodge (or similar)

Prepare to explore Tortuguero National Park: a boat trip to visit the Tortuguero canals. A different and very enjoyable way to discover this impressive landscape. Return and breakfast at the Lodge. Later, you will visit the Lodge's surroundings and the nature trails accompanied by a local guide to discover this very humid tropical forest, its fauna and flora. Lunch at the Lodge. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure and enjoy the Lodge's facilities as well as the activities offered on site.

Hotel: 4-star Pachira Lodge (or similar)

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, you will depart and continue your journey by boat from Tortuguero, then by bus to the restaurant in Guápiles, where you can enjoy a traditional lunch. Then, take the group transfer to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the magnificent Arenal Volcano. This region is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular in the country. Costa Rica is well known as a top adventure destination, and the La Fortuna area is famous for offering the best outdoor experiences in Costa Rica. Check in at the hotel and start enjoying the facilities!

Travel duration: an hour 30 minutes by boat and 2 hours 30 minutes by road.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Enjoy a leisure day to explore the Arenal region, which offers numerous hiking trails, stunning waterfalls, beautiful vegetation and wildlife, and plenty of adrenaline-fuelled experiences such as zip-lining, abseiling, horseback riding, white-water rafting, and much more!

If you have selected the 11 days/10 nights option, your stay is coming to an end.

After the included breakfast at the hotel, take the provided group transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your return flight.

Please select a departure flight scheduled after 4:30 p.m. to ensure a comfortable return journey and to take advantage of the included group transfer.

If you select the 13-day/12-night or 15-day/14-night option, head to Monteverde!

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, depart for Monteverde by crossing Lake Arenal by boat, one of the most popular options. First, you will have a short drive from your hotel to the Lake Arenal dam. Once there, you will board a boat for a pleasant 30-minute ride across the lake. On the other side, you will board a minibus for the final journey of about 1 hour and 30 minutes to Monteverde. This place is a true paradise for nature lovers, with an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. Unique among other Costa Rican rainforests, its constant cloud-like mist gives the forest its name. Monteverde harmoniously combines natural beauty and tranquillity with thrilling adventure activities, such as spectacular zip lines to soar over the treetops, magnificent hanging bridges, cultural and culinary experiences to immerse yourself in Costa Rican traditions, night walks in the jungle to uncover the forest's secrets at night, and much more!

If you choose the 13 days/12 nights or 15 days/14 nights option, after the included breakfast at the hotel, enjoy another day at leisure to discover the many natural wonders of Monteverde on your own.

After breakfast included at the hotel, you will have a shared group transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your return flight.

If you choose the 15 days/14 nights option:

Get ready to discover Manuel Antonio ! Breakfast is included at the hotel before your departure. At the agreed time, you will be transferred by shuttle to your next destination: the beautiful beach of Manuel Antonio.

This small seaside village is full of accommodation nestled in nature. Known for its national park, Manuel Antonio is a lively town located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The region is a true treasure of biodiversity, attracting nature lovers, eco-travellers, and adventurers alike.

Enjoy your time at leisure to explore and relax.

If you choose the 15-day/14-night duration :

After breakfast, you will set off on a guided hike in Manuel Antonio National Park, where you will have the opportunity to observe sloths, monkeys, and a multitude of tropical birds along a picturesque 3 km trail.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, you will be picked up for a shared group transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport to catch your return flight.

• Please note that the departure transfer to the airport is a shared service lasting approximately 3 hours. If you select a scheduled departure flight with a departure before 4:30pm, you will need to book a private transfer at your expense.
