Malta and Gozo combined self-drive tour 4^*

Flight to Valletta. On arrival, pick up your car hire and drive to your hotel in Malta for a stay of 4 nights.

Suggested visits and stop-offs: Valletta, the island's capital, the Upper Barrakka Gardens with their stunning views of the harbour and the Three Cities, the Palace of the Grand Masters, St John's Co-Cathedral, a true masterpiece of Baroque art, the National Museum of Archaeology and the Manoel Theatre. You can end your day with a visit to the San Anton Botanical Gardens.

Suggested visits and stop-offs: Mdina, the ancient capital located in the heart of the island - perched on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by ramparts - including its narrow streets lined with beautiful stately homes, its baroque churches, its convents, and palaces. The catacombs and St Paul's Grotto in Rabat, where the apostle is said to have preached the gospel, followed by the neoclassical church of Mosta, dominated by an impressive 66-metre high dome. The cliffs of Dingli and the village of Ta'Qali, where the craftsmen reveal the secrets of their work.

Suggested visits and stop-offs: the south of the island to discover the fishing village of Marsaxlokk where you can photograph the "luzzu"; brightly painted boats featuring the typical lucky eye on the bow, the Mamo Tower at Marsaskala; a fortified residence unique to Malta, the Megalithic Temples of Tarxien; the largest prehistoric complex in Malta, and the Blue Grotto.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

The itinerary for today will take you to Cirkewwa, situated in the north of the island. This is the port from which you will embark for Mgarr on the island of Gozo (the crossing takes approximately 25 minutes by ferry). Settle into your hotel, where you will stay for 3 nights.

Suggested visits in Gozo: discover the capital city of Gozo, Victoria, and its citadel, the two megalithic temples of Ggantija, or the bay of Xlendi. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Suggested visits in Gozo: take advantage of your stay in Gozo to relax by the sea or explore the island's inland regions.

Departure to Malta by ferry from the port of Mgarr. Drop off your vehicle at Malta Airport and board your flight home.

Please be advised that your itinerary does not include any tours. You will have the option to organise everything yourself upon arrival.

This price includes:

• Car rental (category B) for the duration of your stay (8 days).
• Unlimited mileage

This price does not include:

• Fuel, parking fees.
• Fines (fines will be billed directly by the rental company)
• Optional extras: additional driver ( 5€/d ); GPS and child seat ( 8€/d ) and insurance to be paid locally

Vehicle pick-up and drop-off:

• You must be able to present your passport
• You must be able to present your valid driver's license and carry it with you during your stay
• Age limit for car rental: 21-75 years:

Young people: Drivers under 25 must pay an additional €11.80 per day, including VAT

Seniors: Drivers over 71 years of age will be charged an additional €11.80 including VAT per day

• Car rentals are picked up and dropped off at Malta airport
• Surcharge of approx. €30 for drop-off and pick-up outside the following times: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.

**PLEASE NOTE: For car rental, it is necessary to receive the full name of the driver before your departure. Any change or modification of the main driver's name after it has been validated will incur a modification fee (we invite you to read all the details concerning car rental)
