DAY 1 - SAN JOSÉ

Welcome to Costa Rica!

You will be greeted by an English/Spanish-speaking representative and transferred to your hotel located in the capital, San José (a 30-minute drive). Settle into your room and enjoy your first night at the hotel in San José.

DAY 2 - SAN JOSÉ - SARAPIQUÍ

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, local transportation will pick you up at the hotel and take you to your next destination: Sarapiquí (2h drive). This region is known throughout Costa Rica for its astonishingly rich biodiversity. Sarapiqui lies in the north-east of the country and is without doubt one of the best destinations for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers. You'll stay in an eco-lodge set in the heart of the rainforest and surrounded by lush vegetation, diverse wildlife and the magnificent Tirimbina River.

DAY 3 - SARAPIQUÍ

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Free time to relax. Enjoy free access to the private reserve, spanning over 900 acres of pristine rainforest. You can explore the magnificent natural environment, discover exotic flora and fauna and admire breathtaking views from three suspension bridges.

DAY 4 - SARAPIQUÍ - ARENAL

Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast, leave and be ready to continue your journey. Shared transfer to your next destination (1h30 drive): La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the magnificent Arenal volcano. Before December 2010, the Arenal volcano was one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, and a truly majestic sight, spewing molten rock and ash from its summit on a daily basis. Today, there is no lava eruption, for the moment, but you can still see smoke/ash spewing from the volcano's summit. On arrival, make yourself comfortable in your hotel room and enjoy your free time.

DAY 5 - ARENAL

Breakfast is included at the hotel. During your stay, you'll have plenty of time to relax and explore the wonders of Arenal on your own. If you love nature and adventure, the Arenal region offers many options for activities and places to discover. You'll enjoy the benefits of the relaxing thermal waters at Baldi Hot Springs.

DAY 6 - ARENAL

Breakfast is included at the hotel. During your stay, you'll have plenty of time to relax and explore the wonders of Arenal on your own. DAY 7 - ARENAL - MONTEVERDE

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure for Monteverde across Lake Arenal by shuttle boat. This is one of the most popular options. You'll take a short land transfer from the hotel to the Lake Arenal dam. Here, you'll board a boat and enjoy a 30-minute ride on Lake Arenal. On the other side, you'll board a minibus and complete the final hour-and-a-half journey to Monteverde. This is a true paradise for nature lovers, with a marvellous diversity of flora and fauna. Unique among Costa Rican rainforests, with a constant cloud-like mist that gives the forest its name. Monteverde is a unique blend of natural beauty and tranquility combined with adventure and adrenaline activities such as thrilling zip lines to fly over the trees, amazing suspension bridges, cultural and culinary experiences to discover Costa Rican traditions, night walks in the jungle to explore the nocturnal secrets of the forest and much more!

DAY 8 - MONTEVERDE - SÁMARA

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure and shared transfer to your next destination: Samara (3h drive). Located along the southern Pacific coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, in the province of Guanacaste, Samara is a small, sunny town with pristine beaches and perfect scenery. The town is both a popular seaside resort and a major component of Costa Rica's livestock and fishing industries. Samara is one of the safest beaches, making it ideal for family getaways and low-key travel. Enjoy the free time.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Travel documents

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.
Regarding the transport documents (in the case of a reservation with transport included), we will provide you with all the information relating to check-in and luggage in the "Your travel documents" email, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.
To take advantage of all your reserved services (hotels, transfers, activities, etc.), you will receive one or more exchange vouchers to be presented to each supplier.

Transportation

Choose an offer and, according to your preferences, opt for a seat in economy, business or first class.

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
