This national park, which is protected by UNESCO, is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in the region and is one of the most important in Mexico. There is a colony of 300 individuals in the north of the archipelago. There are plenty of ways to explore the main island, including snorkelling, kayaking, trekking and diving. Today, you will travel to the former capital of Baja California Sur: Loreto. The evangelisation of the region's four indigenous ethnic groups (the Pericues, Monguis, Guaycuras and Cochimis) began here, with the establishment of several missions, including San Javier and Our Lady of Loreto. Loreto, dubbed the "magical village", faces the rich marine world of the Bahía de Loreto National Park, which is protected by CONANP and comprises the Coronado, Carmen, Danzante, Montserrat and Santa Catalina islands. From December to March, the world's largest mammal, the blue whale, comes here to feed, reproduce and give birth.

Today, you will return to Loreto, the oldest town in Baja California. Today, after stopping in Loreto, you will travel to Puerto San Carlos, which is located on the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur. Today, you will reach the southernmost point of the peninsula. On the way, stop at Todos Santos, which is famous for its colonial charm and artistic creativity. Nowadays, Todos Santos is a peaceful coastal oasis, which is probably why the town has attracted so many artists, both Mexican and foreign. You will visit the main square, the "Plaza de Armas", which is surrounded by the town's most iconic buildings. You will also have the opportunity to explore the many galleries and craft shops, where you can purchase a memento of Baja California. The town is also known for its "Hotel California", which was made famous by the Eagles' song of the same name. You will arrive in Cabo San Lucas at the end of the day. This is the ultimate seaside resort in Baja California Sur and is renowned for its beaches, diving, fishing and grey whale watching. Together with the more artistic and tranquil town of San José del Cabo, it forms the municipality of Los Cabos, as it is often referred to. Located at the junction of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, Los Cabos offers incredible landscapes divided between sea, mountains and desert, making it a must-see destination on the peninsula. You can visit "El Arco", one of the area's most famous attractions, before enjoying the golden sands of "Lovers" and "Divorce" beaches, which are located close to the famous rock formation.
