Today, why not treat yourself to a boat excursion (not included) to discover Isla Espiritu Santo? Protected by UNESCO, this national park is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the region and one of the most important in Mexico. Numerous species, especially mammals and reptiles, can feed and reproduce here all year round. The island's flagship animal is the sea lion, which you can swim with. There is a colony of 300 in the north of the archipelago. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the main island, including snorkeling, kayaking, trekking and diving, where you may spot giant rays, hammerhead sharks and turtles. The archipelago's isolation, volcanic origin and contrasting landscapes of sea and desert make for a unique experience not to be missed.

Today, you're off to Baja California Sur's first capital: Loreto. It was here that the evangelization of the region's four indigenous ethnic groups - the Pericues, Monguis, Guaycuras and Cochimis - began, with the establishment of several missions, including those of San Javier and Notre Dame de Loreto. The "magic village" of Loreto faces a rich marine world, the Bahia de Loreto National Park protected by CONANP, which includes the islands of Coronado, Carmen, Danzante, Montserrat and Santa Catalina. From December to March, the world's largest mammal, the blue whale, comes here to feed, reproduce and give birth.

For history buffs, take a trip along the Route of the Missions to understand the demographic and economic evolution of this territory, and in particular the most impressive and important, that of San Javier.

Today, you will reach the southern tip of the peninsula. Stop en route at Todos Santos, famous for its colonial charm and artistic creativity.
