DAY 1 | SAN JOSÉ

Welcome to Costa Rica! Our local representative will meet and assist you at SJO airport.

Shared transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport to your hotel in San José.

Check in, make yourself comfortable in your hotel room and relax!

DAY 2 | SAN JOSÉ/TORTUGUERO

Early in the morning, head to the hotel reception for the semi-communal transfer to the pier to arrive in Tortuguero. You'll pass through Braulio Carrillo National Park, a prime example of Costa Rica's lush cloud forest. En route, you'll stop off in the town of Guápiles to enjoy breakfast in a local restaurant, before taking the boat to Tortuguero and sailing through the famous canals full of incredible wildlife and plant life, in the heart of the rainforest.

Settle in at the Lodge followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Tortuguero on the other side of the channel and the small beach in the area, which becomes the nesting place of turtles at certains times of the year. The order of activities in Tortuguero may vary according to the hotel's schedule.

Duration: 3 hours by road and 1 hour 30 by boat.

DAY 3 | TORTUGUERO

Get ready to explore Tortuguero National Park: take a boat trip to visit the canals of Tortuguero. It is a different and very fun way to discover this imposing panorama.

Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Later on, you will visit the area surrounding the lodge and the nature trails accompanied by the local guide to discover this very humid rainforest, and its plants and wildlife.

Lunch at the Lodge. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the lodge facilities and the activities on offer.

DAY 4 | TORTUGUERO/ARENAL

Breakfast at the lodge and check-out.

Departure for the pier, where the transport will be waiting to take you to the town of Guápiles to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Then continue your shuttle journey to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the magnificent Arenal volcano. Before December 2010, the Arenal volcano was one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, and it was a truly majestic sight, spewing molten rock and ash from its summit on a daily basis. There is no lava eruption at the moment, but you can still see smoke/ash rising from the top of the volcano.

On arrival, sit back and relax in your hotel room and enjoy some free time in the hotel facilities.

DAY 5 | ARENAL

Breakfast is included at the hotel. During your stay, you'll have plenty of time to relax and explore the wonders of Arenal for yourself. If you love nature and adventure, the Arenal region offers you plenty of options for activities and places to discover. Enjoy some of the natural hot springs, created by the volcano's geothermal activity, venture into the rainforest and experience a sanctuary of relaxation, privacy and tranquillity. If you're more adventurous, take a hike along the lava trails of Arenal Volcano National Park; discover the magnificent La Fortuna waterfall; experience an adrenaline rush in the rapids of the Balsa River while admiring the magnificent vegetation; fly over the treetops on a zip-line adventure and much more! Costa Rica is known the world over as a top adventure destination, and the La Fortuna region is famous for the best outdoor adventures. Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure for Monteverde by boat across Lake Arenal. This is one of the most popular options. Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure and shuttle transfer to your next destination: the magnificent beach of Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio is a small village on the edge of the ocean with plenty of good places to stay in the countryside. Famous for its national park, this lively little town lies off Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. The region is a treasure trove of biodiversity, attracting countryside lovers, eco-travellers and adventurers alike. Enjoy your free time.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
