VENICE QR CODE
In accordance with the latest regulations of the local government of Venice, visitors to the city will be required to pay an access fee between 18 April and 27 July 2025. See below for specific dates. Exemptions from payment will apply to visitors falling into one of the categories set out below. Please note that the access fee is charged between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. To qualify for exemption, kindly register and obtain the relevant exemption voucher.
Exceptions:
1. Guests staying in accommodation in the city of Venice and paying the tourist tax are exempt from the Access Fee but must still have a QR code indicating their stay.
2. Minors under the age of 14 are exempt from paying the Access Fee: to prove their age, if this is not obvious, the presentation of an identity document is accepted as sufficient proof.
Here are the key steps to obtain your QR code:
1. Visit the official website Homepage | Contributo di Accesso (https://cda.ve.it/en/) , choose "Exemption request".
2. Select "I am a guest in an accommodation in Venice" and click on "Exemption request".
3. Enter your arrival and departure dates.
4. Enter the accommodation number and select the option indicating that you are a guest of this establishment on the data entry screen.
5. Add the names of other guests under "Add guest".
6. You will receive your QR code electronically. Be sure to save a digital copy. Acquired vouchers must be kept in digital format, and if verified, must be presented to authorised personnel at key access points throughout the city.
