Room was nice, location was excellent. Amenities were many, free b-fast and night reception. Daily paper, the front desk assisted with mailing back home some wine I purchased! Don't hesitate booking here. -Michael Mcgawley , from Chicago, United States - 8/14/2009

A fabulous quality hotel in a perfect quiet location yet only steps away from the buzz of Fisherman's Wharf. Real attention paid to detail. Excellent restaurant but a little pricey if you don't have complimentary coupons. Only complaint was noise from neighbors on the last night. -Carol Murphy , from Limerick, Ireland - 7/13/2009

They spoiled us, there is no other place to stay in San Francisco! -Cassandra Bagorio , from Honolulu, United States - 3/24/2009
Fisherman's' Wharf Treasure

We stayed at the Argonaut for one night in Feb. 2009 and found it a great spot on the Wharf. The hotel is located next to the National Park in a pretty quiet location still within walking distance to most attractions and 1 block to the trolley. The hotel is well sound proofed- couldn't hear any outside noise even a passing motorcycle. Wine tasting, large comfortable room, robes and Aveda products, restaurant on site. Parking was $40 though. They also wouldn't honor our Perfect Escapes check-in amenity and squabbled a bit on the free breakfast, even with the e-mail, but overall a very nice and nicely situated place. -John, from Evergreen, United States - 3/6/2009

We stayed at the hotel in early Jan 09 for 2 days. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Drinks between 5 and 6 p.m. was very social. Good location for the touristy things - cable car around the corner and 2 blocks from the F line.
Suggested route south to the base of the Golden Gate bridge rather than the freeway was a great idea, following a discussion with the front of house manager. -Crispian Harrod , from Cambridge, England - 1/12/2009

Nice Location, Very Friendly Staff
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This hotel is located right at the Fisherman's Wharf with many attractions within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The valet parking is nice, though a bit pricey ($39). Yet, it's in the busy area, so I think it's understandable. Upon arrival, we were immediately upgraded to the bay-view room which is very nice. We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from the room! Everything is nice and clean. We had a wonderful stay. -Jeanine, from morristown, United States - 12/19/2008
Two Stays at Argunart Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Over all a great hotel, but I had two different experiences there. The first time I booked I received a bottle of wine, valet parking, and American breakfast. Awesome. Liked
it so much , that I change my reservation at another hotel, but the check in was not the same. DOUBLE THE ROOM COST! I was staying for two nights, got continental breakfast,
asked if I could get an American breakfast because I was not going to be there on the second morning, and they said absolutely not. Got a double bed couch the second time, took 2 phone calls to desk to get blankets and pillow for that bed!
I would be careful on how you book this hotel.

Wonderful Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and in the perfect location to catch any means of transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the wine hour was a nice touch and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were a little small and outlets weren't plentiful in the room. Our room was not ready for early check in as advertised by Perfect Escapes [Amenity based on availability] but we did have a room with a view of the bridge and bay. It would have been nice to have had complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings as the Starbucks around the corner was expensive. This was an expensive hotel but worth it due to the location. -Margaret Jo Bralley , from Shelby, United States - 11/5/2008
Kid-Friendly and Great Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
If you have kids and would like to stay in San Francisco I would strongly recommend the Argonaut. It is ideally located on the bay close to Fisherman's Wharf, cable cars and Alcatraz ferries. The rooms were very kid friendly in decor and the beds were very soft and comfortable. Free internet and TV with DVD player complete the luxurious appointments. My daughters 10 and 1.5 years old loved the place and we all enjoyed the city without much effort after a leisurely start and great breakfast at the hotel's own Blue Mermaid restaurant. The waffles and French toast were divine :-) We plan to return soon! -Shankar Kurra , from Dublin, United States - 8/26/2008

Weekend check-in was extremely busy, our room wasn't ready - however, the staff were professional and polite and we were offered a discount rate as a result of the delay.
