I actually stayed here with friends only to visit the tourist sites in D.C., but really came away with the idea that I would return with a girlfriend or wife in the future to allow them to enjoy the pampered atmosphere. The furniture is beautiful, the staff is very friendly. The only thing I did not like specifically was that only valet parking was available. Besides this, I was very impressed with the property.

This was the perfect retreat. The tiffany blue rooms had a luxurious and calming effect on the spirit. The decor was classic, modern and clean. I truly felt like I was floating on a cloud during my stay. It was wonderful. I didn't want to go home.

Directions:
Lorien Hotel & Spa is located about 35 miles from Dulles International Airport, which is about an hour's driving time, depending on the time of day and traffic. From the Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Lorien Hotel & Spa is about 40 miles or 60–75 minutes driving time, depending on the time of day and traffic.
From IAD, take the Dulles Toll Road East to the Capital Beltway (I-495). Go south on I-495. Take Exit 177, Alexandria Route US-1. Follow US-1 North for about a mile to King Street. Turn left onto King Street; Lorien Hotel & Spa is at 1600 King Street.
From BWI, follow I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (I-495). Take I-95/495 South across the Potomac River on the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge into Virginia. Take the first exit, Alexandria Route US-1, Exit 177. Follow US-1 North for about a mile to King Street. Turn left onto King Street; Lorien Hotel & Spa is at 1600 King Street.
