Beautiful property - a modern, well-decorated hotel in an architecturally historic building. The restaurant was great, and also not overpriced. The rooms were large, clean and well-decorated. They could use more towels in the (very beautiful) bathrooms, and our bathroom door came off its track and didn't get fixed during our stay. But we'd definitely stay there again.
We didn't do the wine tasting, the timing didn't work for us. But cookies & milk, wine, and other perks were very nice touches. -Linda and Geoffrey, from Northampton, United States - 3/2/2010

Best Hotel Stay Ever!

My wife and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary and I can say that I wouldn't have wanted to spend it at any other hotel. The hotel and service was outstanding and so was the staff. We had the world's best concierge named Laurelle. Be sure to ask for her. This was our first stay but it will definitely not be our last! Thanks P.E. & Hotel Monaco - Baltimore. -Garry, from Bowie, United States - 1/25/2010

Beautiful Building

Great decor, lovely "living room" area where tea and coffee were served, room was distinctive with train motif done well. Since they served morning beverages, a continental breakfast would have been nice. -Susan Kaufman , from Charlottesville, United States - 1/4/2010
Historic Property With Verve
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Kimpton has once again converted historic property tax credits into a superb hotel with first class fit and finish and Kimpton's notorious amenities ranging from wine in the lobby to first class treatment of Tara (Bow-Wow) even though she's a bitch. The IRS has nothing to complain about. -Frederic Schwartz, from Washington , United States - 12/29/2009
Trendy and Lovely

Staff was very helpful...everything is beautiful to look at, and the free wine is of course a huge plus! The one negative...they never cleaned our room even though we left the thing on the door indicating that the room was dirty...not a huge deal, but I guess they are still working out the kinks. -Raphael, from Jersey City, United States - 12/13/2009
Customer Service Not As Beautiful As Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
My family recently stayed here for a wedding in town. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. However, they should invest as much money into their staff as they did the decor. Upon checking in, my mother had the worst experience with the front desk rep. She was neither courteous nor helpful. My brother who was checking in at the same time however, had a gentleman run down the hotels amenities and all that the city had to offer. Very courteous, when asking the young lady why we didn't receive the same she merely rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders! Not 4 star service at all! Then when trying to retrieve our car from the pricey valet, it took 40 minutes when we were the only patrons getting our car at the time. Not to mention the valet aren't dressed in an attire you would expect. But in jeans and hoodies! We sat in the car trying to determine whether they were actual valet! Not satisfactory! And as a prev. person said, the location is very undesirable. Gorgeous hotel, very bad -Gatlin, from Boston, United States - 11/20/2009
Just One Minor Complaint...
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Only complaint is phone answering. Took many rings for the staff to answer, then they would transfer me only to be put on hold or get voice mail. Then I would have to call again. Very frustrating. Otherwise, my stay was fantastic! This is a truly pet friendly hotel and very clean. They babysat mine and a friend's dog while we went to dinner. They also walked our dogs and gave them treats. The building is beautiful and located conveniently close to inner harbor. The room was great. Clean, smelled wonderful and the bathroom was pretty big. My room was 485sq ft. The bellman went over the history of the building and also described, in detail, all the amenities of the room and hotel. Very professional. Valet little pricey at $36 but convenient. Took little while to get the car when we checked out. They offer a happy hour in the evenings w/ wine and a light breakfast in the mornings. Bring your camera because there are great photo ops. Loved decor overall. Would recommend to anyone! -izzy, from manassas, United States - 11/19/2009

This was a lovely hotel. The staff were very accommodating, the room as clean as one could ever hope to see, and the bed delightful. There is no question I would seek out this, or a similar, property again. -Jennifer, from State College, United States - 11/4/2009
Amazing

I was shocked at the quality of the hotel and the service compared to the price. I don't think I have stayed at such a nice hotel (in the States) and I have been to many cities. The service couldn't have been better and the hotel's presentation was spectacular. Not only would I recommend this hotel to anyone, I will specifically look for Kimpton hotels in the future. -Chrystin Gall , from Exton, United States - 10/29/2009
