This new entertainment Mecca was developed around the Nokia Theater (backdrop for many award shows) and the Staples Center, home of the LA Kings hockey team.
In a bid to revamp Downtown Los Angeles, LA Live has literally made the area come alive, and not in a cheesy tourist-trap way. The area boasts fine dining such as Fleming’s Steakhouse and Trader Vic’s, a Lucky Strike (the hip and chic bowling alley chain), a giant Regal Cinemas movie complex, as well as Club Nokia dance club and more.
There’s also a very popular ESPN Zone complete with bar, stadium-style seating and an adult-friendly arcade. A JW Marriott will eventually encompass the “zone” and a Ritz-Carlton Residences is quickly growing to new heights as a centerpiece for this center of luxury entertainment.
