After a day of hitting the slopes- snow in your face, wind in your hair- nothing hits the spot better than a delicious, fresh meal. Until now, most ski lodges have offered little more on their slopes beyond burgers, chili and fries.
While the lodges have long offered excellent cuisine, the slopes are now catching up, making sure guests don’t have to look far for fuel to ski all day.
Asian inspired meals have become a focus at ski slope dining halls with everything from Asian noodle salads, to sushi, to Vietnamese soups. Seasoned chefs have replaced untrained workers to now create flavorful, healthy and hearty meals that won’t weigh you down on the ski lifts.
There’s also been a push towards organic, local fare and replacing any frozen ingredients. In Jackson Hole, even the hotdogs are made from Kobe beef. So even if the fresh salad bar isn’t cutting it, the heartier options are healthier as well.
