Robert De Niro will soon be adding another hotel to his blossoming Big Apple empire. Nobu, the restaurant chain which he co-owns, is set to begin work on its first U.S. hotel in New York City later this year.
The Nobu Hotel and Residences has its design sights set high, with plans for all kinds of luxurious facilities. A 6-story glass wall, large fitness center, screening rooms, private wine and sake cellars, and more will accompany the 62 stories home to 128 rooms and 77 luxury residences. And of course, to top it all off, Nobu at 45 Broad restaurant will make its home on the 3rd floor.
Nobu is no stranger to hotels, the upscale Asian eatery has locations in the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, the InterContinental Hong Kong, The Metropolitan Hotel London, to name just a few.
The new Nobu will join its 3 NYC siblings, including the flagship and original Nobu New York. With soon to be 4 locations all in Manhattan, reservations might be a little easier to come by (at least for its hotel guests) but then again, this is Nobu, so probably not.
