In the last few days, the look of the Strip in Las Vegas changed quite dramatically.

We bid farewell to the Frontier, another sign of the times that old school Las Vegas is going to be harder and harder to find. CNN nicely placated our demolition voyeurism by capturing the event – from about 20 different angles, including inside. And seriously - no one puts on a better explosion party than Vegas. To counter that, the newest addition to the Strip is getting set to open and continues to push the luxury side of Las Vegas. The Palazzo, which you can now book on Perfect Escapes for stays starting after December 20. The hotel will celebrate its opening on January 17 but they are taking reservations for stays before that. Below is the description of the hotel.

Palazzo Las Vegas

The Palazzo features modern European ambience and design reminiscent of Italian affluent living with a unique combination of premium amenities that include spacious suites, restaurants by top celebrity chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali and Charlie Trotter, extraordinary entertainment with the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys and 40/40 Club, a Las Vegas version of New York’s dynamic sports bar and lounge, The Shoppes at The Palazzo featuring luxury stores anchored by Las Vegas’ first-ever Barneys New York, and the largest Canyon Ranch SpaClub to date.

Every room in The Palazzo Las Vegas is a suite, each of which is specifically fashioned with comfort and convenience in mind. A sunken living room decorated with a distinctly modern European design, marble-appointed baths with oversized bath sheets, luxurious Egyptian linens from Anichini and remote-control Roman shades and curtains with first-of-its-kind ‘touch control’ technology are a few of the in-suite features.

Anchored by a flagship, 85,000-square-foot Barneys New York, The Shoppes at The Palazzo will present more than 60 luxury boutiques. In addition to Barneys New York, 20 remarkable stores and luxury brands are making their Las Vegas debuts at The Palazzo. They include Chloe, Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Diane Von Furstenberg, Van Cleef & Arpels, Catherine Malandrino, Anya Hindmarch, and Michael Kors. These new additions to the Las Vegas Strip will be joined by the likes of Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, Piaget, Burberry, Ferragamo, Fendi, Bottega Veneta and Montblanc to present one of the most upscale retail destinations under one roof in the United States.
