My Stay
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
My stay was excellent; rooms very nice and the bed comfortable. But the best part was the high quality of service. The staff truly did their best and everyone was exceptionally nice. -Joseph, from Reseda, United States - 9/26/2009
Great Stay, but ...

The staff at the Golden Nugget couldn't have been more pleasant. The only glitch in the stay was the inability to use a Segway on the casino floor. Although the user has a handicap and all the documentation needed, he was not allowed to use it to maneuver the casino floor, even after speaking to Security. Too bad they use a blanket policy and are not sensitive to conditional use. -Barbara Isaacs , from Kingston, United States - 6/15/2009

Very good service. Quick check in. Nice rooms. New tower under construction, but not much noise or disruption. -Norman Wagner , from w. spr., United States - 6/10/2009
Excellent Vacation Spot

I really enjoyed the clean room and the nice decor. This hotel is better than all the other casinos that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I could tell that the Golden Nugget would be a great place to take my grandson because of the fabulous pool. -Melinda Berry, from Nederland , United States - 4/13/2009
Nugget

An excellent hotel, but I believe that because we had a great price on the room, we were given the furthest room in the oldest part of the hotel, took over a minute and a half to get from the elevator to the room and if you forgot something and had to go back, kiss 5 mins goodbye, but otherwise a great hotel. -Gordon Slater , from Toronto, Canada - 10/19/2008
Bang for the Buck

Me and and a few of my friends stayed here on a guys only excursion. This was my second time going to the Nugget in a year (earlier for my anniversary). Needless to say, I was just as blown away by the service the second time as I was the first. The staff even remembered me from six months earlier! The pool was amazing, the casino is second to none, especially downtown. The food there is a bit pricey, but better than the rest downtown. If you like the low key feel of Fremont, the Golden Nugget is the crown jewel. They went above and beyond to keep me happy. The room I stayed in on the south tower on the 22nd floor was awesome, clean and up to date. I will definitely return the friendly confines of The Golden Nugget. -Bobby Buchanan, from Rockdale, United States - 9/28/2008
Housekeeping Delay
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I was really impressed with the hotel itself and the pool area was really nice, but I was extremely disappointed in hotel when I found out that I could not check into my room since there was a crack in the housekeeping system and I and several other guests could not check in because the rooms were not clean and ready. I had to wait 3 hours until the room was ready. Despite the wait, the room and bathroom were nice and seemed fairly new/remodeled. -Bianca Ramirez , from Rosemead, United States - 8/5/2008
I'm Worth It

The room was standard. The service was out of this world. From the door man, to the bell staff and the front desk were friendly. The pool was a blast especially for my nephews (9 & 5) the pool chairs were great. Mauro, the massage therapist in the spa was great as always. Everyone should try this hotel. I will probably go there again next summer, if not sooner. -Dorothea Puyear , from Tracy, United States - 7/9/2008

The hotel was very nice, it's been a couple of years since my last stay and the renovations make the hotel 5-star. I loved it.
Thank You. -Zaneta, from Santa Ana, United States - 7/3/2008

The Golden Nugget was a beautiful and spacious hotel. The room was clean, roomy and we had a beautiful view of the strip and surrounding area. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The waiters at the buffet were exceptionally friendly. The new shark aquarium and pool were awesome. Had a great time!!!! Would definitely stay there again. -George, from Franklin, United States - 6/16/2008
Watch Your Pockets

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. However, my wife had left $60 in her pants pocket and the pants were hanging in the closet. When we got back to the room that afternoon the money was gone. We reported it to hotel security to no avail. I will not stay there again. Side note; Fremont street was a waste. Don't waste your time. -Jamie Maddux , from Riverton, United States - 5/12/2008
Great Value

Nice to be able to go to room without winding around through the casino (like other hotels force you to do). Quality room. Nice ambiance. Good restaurants. -Kirk, from Carlsbad, United States - 4/22/2008

Golden Nugget

I wasn't particularly impressed by the time it took to check in and there were loads of people queuing behind us too. Plenty to keep you occupied in the casino, restaurants are pricey but food was better than anything you'd get around the hotel. The pool is magnificent although the water was a little cold for my liking at this time of the year. There is an impressive shark tank and a glass water slide that goes through it getting you as close to sharks as you'll ever get without being their dinner! The room itself is spacious and clean. Could have done with a minibar and a coffee maker in the room, which is expected if you are from Europe. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly and we enjoyed both Vegas and the hotel. The only downside is the long queues to check in and the distance from the strip so I would recommend you have a car to drive down the strip in the evening which is the highlight of the day. If you fancy spectacular views of the strip then this is NOT the place. -Modassere, from london, England - 10/30/2007
