La Costa Stay

Stayed at La Costa. Rooms were very nice and updated. Bathrooms were gorgeous, beds comfy...great linens. Big flat screen, free internet hook up in room. Wish we had a balcony, would have been nice. Building is older, but nice. Not impressed with the golf course, it wasn't worth the money if you have to pay full price. We expected the famous 5 star golf. It was about average. Did not use the spa or saloon. Breakfast was great, especially because it was free. Service throughout the resort was excellent. Parking is a pain if you self park...far away. And valet service was good, but car was returned dirty b/c of water spots. The hotel wasn't too familiar with Perfect Escapes. Had to make a few calls to get my package deal...but in the end, it worked out.
Rates with Perfect Escape were the best anywhere, and the free breakfast was a real bonus. Saved a lot with them. I probably would have stayed elsewhere if not for the package deal with them.
