Overview
Situated in the heart of New York City, Le Parker Méridien New York is just steps away from Fifth Avenue shopping, Central Park, and Broadway theatres. Some of the best sites of the city are just minutes away, including Carnegie Hall, Madison Avenue, and Rockefeller Center. At gravity fitness and spa, a multilevel 15,000-square-foot wellness facility, guests can indulge in spa treatments, exercise classics, and professional training and nutritional instruction. Named New York magazine's “Best Breakfast in New York,” Norma's is one of three restaurants at the hotel.
Newly designed, ergonomic guest rooms and suites aspire to the basic values of modernism, featuring soothing cherry and cedar woods, and many of the guest rooms offer extensive views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. All rooms and suites have 32" Sony large-screen television, an expansive desk providing abundant task space, Aeron desk chair, high-speed Internet access, in-room safe, CD and DVD players. Additional enhancements include two-line speaker phone with call waiting and voicemail, video check-out, an in-room safe and a luxurious duvet and feather bed. Bathrobes are placed in all suites. Bathrooms feature a compact design, most with shower / tub combination, hairdryer and telephone.

Rooms all need updating, bad sewer smell coming from all bathrooms. -Larry Griffiths , from Matthews, United States - 10/8/2009
Nice Stay

It is a nice hotel, conveniently situated in midtown. The food in midtown is not always great from a leisure traveler point of view but Le Parker Meridien is an exception. Norma's is and has been for a long time a fabulous place for breakfast - my favorite in Manhattan. The Burger Joint is newer and is a trendy, gourmet burger place that is very good if you want that type of food (not many choices and can be a wait). I've been a few times and some rooms are larger and more modern than others and with nicer views, but that is pretty much par for the course for any hotel particularly ones in NYC. I find the rooms to be decent size for NYC and the staff to be attentive. Rate tends to be great for what you get. Try to get a room on Central Park - they have some amazing views. - 3/27/2009

My room was average, and had chipped paint on ceiling (lead paint?), and the bed was horrible,it had a skimpy feather bed topping(not comfortable). Walls paper thin, I could hear people next door coughing! Park view rooms were a joke, 3-4 blocks away and top of trees in the distance. Not at all worth the money spent, I have stay at the Embassy Suites and had a much nicer room, free breakfast, and free managers reception for half the price. -Tarah Steward, from Maple Shade, United States - 2/13/2008
