Overview
The Delamar is Connecticut's first and only independent waterfront luxury hotel. It has a location of incredible natural beauty and unsurpassed convenience: it is on Greenwich harbor, steps away from the shopping mecca of Greenwich Avenue, minutes from the Metro-North train station and next to Exit 3 off I-95.
Guestrooms at the Delamar are fully equipped for the business traveler and yet have every amenity for the luxury weekender. Most rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the romantic harbor. Hand-painted armoires house flat screen televisions and CD, DVD players. Beds are covered with luxurious Italian linens, down pillows and down duvets. Bathrooms are spacious and exceedingly well equipped, with coral marble vanities, deep cast-iron tubs, hand-painted framed mirrors and shower curtains of hand-embroidered linen.

Heaven Away From Home

From the minute we arrived at the Delamar, we were treated quite royally. The room was lovely but the view of the harbor was priceless. We thank Delamar for a lovely
hotel and a wonderful restaurant, L'Escale, to dine in.

We spent a Friday night getaway-- the top floor room was very nice- comfortable bed, well appointed. While I-95 is audible from the balcony, it's still nice to have a harbor view.

Not Worth the Money

The lobby is gracious and quite lovely, but the rooms and dining are sub-par. Our room was nicely decorated, but small and a bit worn. We felt it compared with a Marriott, which is fine if you are paying Marriott prices. A lot of little things added up to a less than favorable impression. The water pressure in the bathroom was very poor particularly in the shower and the toilet was slow to flush. The breakfast that was included in our rate was not good. The coffee was week, the milk had a film on it from sitting out exposed. The cranberry juice tasted like it had been watered down. The pancakes arrived without part of the ingredients listed on the menu. Though we ate in the restaurant, the waiter added an 18% gratuity to our tab, but presented us with a slip that just showed the total with a line left blank to add a tip. Had I not scrutinized the receipt, I would have tipped him twice. Adding the gratuity to a bill for a party of two is very tacky and insulting.

FYI, there's construction going on across the street that you might hear in the morning- wasn't a big deal though.
I would definitely stay here next time I'm in Greenwich.

This hotel was so perfect, from the moment my wife and I arrived it was bliss, they treated us like royalty. The room was spacious and beautiful as well as the service. Food was good and the spa was an out of this world experience, overall we have already recommended this hotel as well as perfectescapes.com to a bunch of our friends when they are looking for that perfect getaway at an unbeatable price.

Pick the harbor view, not the city view. Overall, it was amazing. I felt like I was in Europe. The staff are really professional and refuse to fail. I went to the front desk to ask for something, they asked me to go back to my room and enjoy my stay while they served me. They made sure I enjoyed my stay. Very romantic hotel by the way.

The hotel is located 35 minutes from midtown Manhattan, 10 minutes from downtown Stamford, and is easily accessible from the areas Airports: 20 minutes from Westchester’s White Plains Airport, 45 minutes from La Guardia, and 60 minutes from JFK Airport.
Coming from Boston:
Take I-95 South / New England to Exit 3 (Greenwich). Turn left onto Arch St., then turn right at the third light onto Steamboat Road. The hotel is on the right-hand side.
Coming from NYC:
