The lake front suites are comfortable. We saw lots of wildlife in the area. -Daryl Sveinson , from Regina, Canada - 1/29/2010
Luxury and Rustic All in One
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Jasper Park Lodge is one of my favorite places to relax at. It is very old, set amongst huge pine trees, amid the gorgeous rocky mountains. The cabins are rustic but amply prepared. It is an amazing place where you can take a walk and be amongst a herd of elk, mountain sheep and deer! The service is bar none, from the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. It is also the best resort I have stayed at for children. They make sure to have activities and games available for children and will go out of their way to ensure that your children are included in the experience. The only negative I have about this hotel is that the food and beverages have become quite pricey. We only ate once at one of the restaurants and had a snack another time as it was far cheaper to drive 5 minutes into Jasper and have an equally amazing meal for 1/3 the price. I still love the ambiance, character and personal touch of the JPL and would highly recommend it as a get-away or for a celebratory weekend. -Susan Farkasdi , from Edmonton, Canada - 5/7/2009
Overrated

Overrated property! So called "deluxe room" in cabin was motel style with no charm whatsoever. Breakfast buffet was good but in windowless room, while restaurant with view served breakfast to a group! Caring about non-group guests was professional but there seemed to be little interest in private travelers. Big difference in comparison with Fairmont Banff Springs. Not enough parking spots for the number of rooms. Generally a disappointing stay which led to cancellation of the second night. Cancellation was no problem.

Excellent Rate

We had a lovely stay at the hotel and our room was upgraded as your web site promised. But, the rate was so fabulous that they fought me over receiving complimentary breakfast. When I showed them that this was provided by Perfect Escapes, they did allow. Your rate was the lowest on the internet. People around me in the hotel were paying 4 times my rate! -Angela Jones-Rieksts , from Dartmouth, Canada - 9/2/2008
