Beautiful boutique hotel with great well thought out leisure amenities. This is a resort that is both memorable and that I will mention to others. Truly a treat. -Catherine, from Vancouver, Canada - 7/24/2009
Not As Good As Last Year
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I stayed at this hotel last 4th of July weekend and it was ten times better. The service, activities, and kid activities were amazing last year. It looks like they cut out most of those things and have a shorthanded staff. :( Too bad, I really liked it, that’s why I went back, don’t think I will be going back again! -Bencion Pichhadze , from Calabasas, United States - 7/24/2009
Wedding

My daughters wedding was held here. We had 140 guests, booked over 40 rooms. I did not hear anything but compliments and rave reviews from the whole lot. The staff was outstanding, courteous, and helpful. The pool area is outstanding. The food at the reception, in house restaurants, and pool area was all way above par. I live in Las Vegas, and look forward to going back to the Loews for a romantic weekend. It is a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of the Strip. -Dan, from Las Vegas, United States - 6/18/2009
The Perfect Place for a Perfect Wedding !
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We chose the Loews Hotel for my daughter's wedding, because of its beauty, lush landscaping, and of course, the view of the Lake. As it turned out, we could not be happier with every single aspect of the wedding, from the planning to the final day!! Our planners bent over backwards to be sure that down to the smallest detail, everything was gorgeous and perfect! The wedding on the Lotus court was spectacular. The cocktail hour, after the wedding was perfect, guests raved about the hors d'oeurves, especially the Beef Wellington. As we all entered the Baraka ballroom, for the reception we saw perfection, again! It was set up exactly as we had planned, no problems, no changes! It was beautiful, our linens and florals were gorgeous and elegant. The guests ALL loved the food! That evening, and for weeks after, our guests told us that this was THE MOST PERFECT wedding they had ever been too! The pools and outdoor activities were also perfect for guests to relax. THANKS LOEWS! -Patti, from Las Vegas, United States - 6/18/2009

This hotel is beautiful and quiet. The outside is attractively landscaped and the inside rooms are spacious... the decorations (Moroccan) are simple and tasteful. I love this property after this, my third stay. The open architecture is classy, beautiful, and relaxing! The service (w/ one exception) is friendly and fabulous (understated first class service!). Knowing this is my favorite hotel I'd like to make 2 recommendations: #1)Why send us away to eat? Eating on that beautiful patio is what we want to do. Thurs. night we were served from Rick's and it was great, other nights we would have like to have done the same. There was no outside dinning: Rick's patio was closed but even then, the adult outside patio is so wonderful why is casual dining service a hassle? (the 1 bit of bad service) And going green was uncomfortable! I sleep alone and do not move an inch during the night, therefore the air conditioning would not stay on. Every night I woke up at least 4 times and had to get up to try to turn the fan on. It was explained that the monitor should have detected me... but it didn't and lead to sleep interruptions: but I love this hotel! -Maureen Rodriguez , from Simi Valley , United States - 5/14/2009
Relaxing Time
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
It was very relaxing, but not boring. The breakfasts were excellent and the beds comfy. The view of the lake and the sunrise was great. We also went to Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire and Mt. Charleston. Of course we lost money on the strip :).
Had a great time! -Barbara Rivera , from Oldsmar, United States - 5/6/2009
Mother/Daughter Get Away
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This was a lovely choice for our annual get away. We wanted to stay near the activities we were interested in: Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, flight line in Boxcar Canyon, and Valley of Fire State Park (not close, but a must see when the weather is not too hot). We only went to the strip for an afternoon and dinner. The Lake Las Vegas area is beautiful and rather quiet. It was exactly what we wanted. We had requested a quiet room, lake view, not near the elevator or ice machine. We almost got it on our first try! But we changed the room we were assigned that was right next to the elevator for another one on the same 9th floor and it could not have been nicer. Gorgeous view! However, we were disappointed that such a beautiful hotel (the bedroom furnishings looked a little tired) did not have double sinks in the bathroom. It was also quite short on drawer space (only three for the two of us) and the tiny balcony was only large enough to stand on to admire the view. -Julie, from Beverly Hills, United States - 4/21/2009

Perfect Escape
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
My quest to escape from the everyday ups and downs of the urban rat race kicked in quickly, upon arrival at the resort. Situated at a distance from the "ching-ching" of typical Las Vegas, it gave me a feeling of being in the perfect spot...The bustle of 'sin city' was just a drive away, but seeming nowhere near, when sitting peacefully in the sultry patio setting, overlooking the lake. Having a choice, and knowing that I could experience the best of many worlds is truly a perfect escape. One thing...online access during holidays could be a challenge! In-room services can be limited, while the business center is not accessible 24-7.
The hotel staff provide an exceptional level of service, further enhancing the experience of escaping your everyday life. It is important that regardless of how much time we have, to take a break, that we actually feel like we did have one. Loews (not just in Las Vegas), has demonstrated their expertise in service and hospitality. -Angela, from Woodbridge, Canada - 4/19/2009

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The breakfast staff at Rick's Cafe was so friendly and accommodating. The pool was beautiful as were the hotel grounds. The beds were super comfortable! A relaxing and gorgeous hidden gem in the Nevada dessert. If the bright lights and hustle and bustle of the strip aren't your thing, stay at Loews Lake Las Vegas. You won't regret it! -Lisa, from Wheaton, United States - 4/7/2009

Water Slide
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Beautiful facility and incredible rooms and service. Breakfast at Rick's Cafe was delicious and service was quick and first-rate. The view for the wedding we attended was spectacular. I have nothing but compliments for Loews and my time there.
The best part of the stay is by far the water slide. With the exception of a water park designed for thrill and spills, this is the best water slide I have experienced. It took a few runs to perfect the ride in order to gain optimum speed but in the end it was worth it. I threw my self down the slide with ankles crossed, hands holding shoulders tightly, with back arched slightly and looking up rather than at where I was going. The result was enough speed to catch some air in the middle of the ride and enough height on the sides of the slide at the bottom of the run to enter the water slightly out of control. The water slide is a must, but you have to go fast.
Oh, and all of the employees at Loews were great too. Valet, check-in, ev -William Lamb , from Culver City, United States - 11/6/2008

Wonderful Hotel, Unexpected Resort Fee
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We went for business. Everything was wonderful-the rooms were very nice, the food excellent, and all of the people there were very nice. We weren't informed about the daily resort fee. They told us when we arrived, but it was too late to stay somewhere else. I would not have booked the rooms if I had known the resort fee would be an extra charge. That was the only problem, everything else was great. I think the amount of the resort fee should be stated with the price of the room so guests won't be surprised when it is too late to do anything about it. -Sandy Maroney , from los angeles, United States - 9/16/2008

This property is quite exceptional especially for families. The rooms were lovely and the service impeccable. We only had one bad experience with a waitress on our first night that served us on the outdoor lounge. She was young and did not quite understand the importance of excellent standards --not attentive at all. That being said, I highly recommend this hotel. One bad apple definitely DID NOT spoil the experience. -Iris Swinea , from Sunset Beach, United States - 8/26/2008

We had previously stayed in this hotel in January and to be greeted and remembered by the staff was amazing - both the front desk and our breakfast server remembered us and treated us like friends coming home. And the view....wow - overlooking the exterior lobby, fire pits, waterfall and the lake itself. We had our patio door open listening to the giggling sounds of the kids playing at the beach mid-morning while we were serenaded to sleep by the wind softly playing thru the landscaping at night....what a place to kick back, relax and just be at peace. Thank you for a great stay! -Demetria Gordon , from Las Vegas, United States - 7/28/2008

Breakfast servers were poor-TV tech was excellent, after fixing the TV he later saw us in the lounge area & offered to get us water or....Valet & bell staff were quite good-the room upgrade was questionable-included breakfast was great having $50 for 2- shuttle to close attractions-business center was a rip relative to the cost for internet access but Wifi was readily available-restaurants were attractive-the breakfast buffet was a great value at $16.95-17 miles to the Las Vegas strip-major water sports available at Lake Mead which is close-maid/housekeeping service was quite good-gift shop was marginal-adequate food outlets-concierge could have been better trained-pools were really attractive & spacious-it's perhaps a little unusual for a property to be business + romance + kid friendly but they do it all! -Walt, from Peoria, United States - 6/22/2008

Loving Lake Las Vegas
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Hard to overstate what a terrific place this is. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. A completely different experience from the Bellagio and Wynn, which are where my wife and I have stayed in the past - but every bit as nice. In fact, I prefer being away from the sleeze-factor of the strip, and probably will stay at Loews from now on. We also checked out the Ritz down the street, and felt that Loews was the nicer of the two properties. We took our kids for 4 days and 3 nights, and they seemed to like this as much as they like Wailea last year and Cabo the year before. The pools, waterslide, beach, boat rentals, and other amenities were first class and plentiful enough to keep everyone happy. Having something like this within a day's drive of home in the snowy mountains of Utah is an unexpected treat. We will be back - regularly. -Todd Wakefield , from Salt Lake City, United States - 4/14/2008

Beyond Our Expectations...

We loved everything about the hotel. It was clean and the staff was very helpful when we needed it. We usually take our young children on our trips but this time it was adults only. The hotel was perfect for both, to get away for some relaxation with adult friends without feeling like children were all over the place or if you had children it was great too because of the way it is set up. We would definitely bring our kids with us. I felt it was a jewel in Las Vegas, away from the strip but close enough to drive to, to get that experience as well. I was surprised most by the outdoor furniture for lounging in the evening you would have to go and stay there to check it out. We travel a lot to great hotels and I would highly recommend the resort. -Soun Moffett , from University Place, United States - 3/31/2008

This was actually our second stay at Loews. We stayed in November and got a great rate from the Loews website. Could not get that rate again so went with Perfect Escapes which included 2 free breakfasts every day. The choices available for breakfast were all delicious and included wonderful fruit bowls, filled with fresh bananas, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe. The breakfasts really were a great deal! Hotel staff are all very courteous and friendly. Every hotel worker acknowledges you when they see you, the housekeepers are wonderful too. We brought our dog with us both times we traveled, and Loews provided bowls and cookies for the dog. We had a room facing the Lake on the ground floor and really enjoyed sitting out on our patio every morning reading the paper. The scenery is beautiful and very quiet surroundings. The outside bar/lounge area is fantastic, we loved sitting around the fires outside. -Kenneth Tice, from Palmer, United States - 2/22/2008

The Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort has been a favorite destination of ours for the last 5 yrs, when the Loews was a Hyatt. We fell in love with the resort then, and now that Loews has taken over, it is only better! The Service is great. The staff remembers our names every time we return. We are treated like old friends. It's like home away form home! The location is beautiful. The spa services are amazing and you can't play better golf courses anywhere. The resort is close enough to the strip and other casinos that you can get the "Vegas" feel when ever you want without having to deal with the maddening crowds.
