I will recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit San Antonio. The hotel was beautiful, fully updated and the service was superb. The description of the ammenities was accurate and the rooms were very well kept and clean.

Great Weekend

The hotel staff and the wonderful hotel itself. Our stay on the court yard floor was so special being able to leave out the back door of our suite and enjoy drinks in a nice comfortable chair and enjoy the plants and water fall was wonderful. This was our second stay and we will be back again. The V bar seating was so comfortable and relaxing that made your night out or long day of walking a paradise to chill in.

This hotel offered a pleasant stay in a well designed environment. On the down side, I found the hotel to be a bit too dark/moody, it does not have a pool, and the bathroom was not very luxurious.

Modern Yet Outdated

This hotel has great staff and plush towels. That is where it stops. The bed is average at best. The TV is from the 1980's and the bathroom is bite-sized. For $200 or so a night there are many better choices. The courtyard is charming. My truck was even bumped and scratched in front of the hotel by a cab driver. The pictures are great the comforts are average at best. I would not stay here again.

Valencia Review for March 2008

Need to update their TV's. I have stayed at more economical hotels and the TV's are HDTV's. I hardly used it but it does make the place looked more luxurious. The room was small and the dark trim was nice. A large mirror and light with dimmers did not justify the price. Overall I know it was the location I paid for. The staff and valet team were excellent. The free upgrade to a room with a balcony was very impressive.

Great Location

We stayed in a riverfront King-size room with a balcony. The balcony was standing space only, but offered a nice opportunity to see the riverfront. The down-side to a riverfront room on the weekends is hearing noise from late night revelers into the wee hours of the morning. For a nice view with more peace consider a courtyard room instead.

The Hotel Valencia is beautifully decorated. The hallway, rooms, and common spaces are beautiful, interesting, and very "upscale." The decor is elegant with a unique twist! A definite "repeat" on our list!
