A Lovely Stay At A Very Nice Resort

We stayed at SHR for 3 days & 2 nights for my birthday. Upon checking in, I mentioned my birthday & they upgraded us to the finest suite in the hotel. Beautiful views, very comfortable rooms & helpful staff made our stay pleasant & relaxing. (Just what we needed). I had read other reviews that claimed the parking was too far away but found this to be completely untrue. Although a tram is provided- the walk from our car couldn't have been more than 90 seconds across a charming walkway that crosses a small waterway. Another review said "it isn't even on the beach" but it is directly on the water with plenty of access & several pools both in the hotel & adjoining condos next door. I wanted a luxury resort that provided a bit of anonymity & this place delivered well.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay; the hospitality both in the bar and in the restaurant for breakfast was cordial and helpful. We would certainly not have any misgivings about returning or referring the hotel. Thank you.

Bed Bugs

This resort is very pretty and the staff is very friendly. My only issue was I pulled the blankets back and layed on the bed to watch TV. A little while later I began to itch. I have about 10 bug bites on my body. My doctor verified today that that's what it is. Being from Texas, I've stayed at several Motels (not so nice) and Hotels and have never had this issue. I'm very shocked by this.

Million Dollar View

My wife and I enjoyed the western exposure and beautiful surroundings. Very relaxing. The pool was clean and inviting and the poolside bar food was tasty. My wife had a very enjoyable spa experience. I can't wait to go back.

Nice but Pricey

This was a nice hotel, but very expensive. It is not located on a beach and is remote from shopping and food so rent a car. Be prepared for the $20.00 a night parking or very remote free parking. I booked with an American Express card and was supposed to get an amenity which I did not. When mentioned this to the desk the morning of my departure the response was that I should have received a fruit basket. I had been under the impression that I would receive some type of spa treatment? Oh well, I didn't get anything. The rooms are very nice and the pool is awesome. The weather was beautiful.
