My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Palomar for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was the best Hotel I've ever stayed at. Our room was incredible and the service was excellent. We'll definitely go back.

OK, But Not Luxury

We booked the stay as kind of an anniversary getaway since we were in town for a Stars game. The room decor was more hip than your usual hotel, but I did notice a few stains on the bed throw pillows and bedding. Also before we got to our room, we noticed people coming out of our room. After having to go back to the check-in desk to resolve an issue with our room key, we told the staff that we saw people come out of our room thinking they may have booked us to the room by mistake since our key didn't initially work. But they told us that hotel staff show rooms to potential guests at times so that was the reason we saw them leaving our room. It wasn't a big problem, but it was just a turn off to have people walking around our room that we were going to be staying in, especially since it had already been cleaned. All in all, we had no other problems, the staff was friendly, but the room was very small and as far as calling the Palomar a luxury hotel, I'm afraid it misses the mark.

I really liked this hotel for the atmosphere. It was a modern hotel with elegance. The food in the bar wasn't good but the drinks were and the spa was amazing. I also liked all the classes offered.

I loved this hotel.....it is expensive but the turn down service was a little different from most and we loved it...very friendly staff and the food was very good at 214.....
