Overview
Dylan is setting a new standard for contemporary elegance with a distinctive setting that embraces the future while retaining the best of the past. This 1903 Beaux-Arts structure and former chemists club building has been meticulously and completely restored, inside and out, at a cost of more than $30 million. The renovation included the restoration of ornate decorative plaster and a marble grand staircase.
The grandeur is evident from the moment one passes through the glass entryway to the magnificent grand staircase spiraling up three floors. The intimate lobby area with its timeless design, warm wood, custom seating clusters and opulent textiles in deep jewel tones, invites relaxation.
In counterpoint to the understated opulence of the public areas, the corridors and guest rooms of the upper floors have been done in a more muted color palette. Different textures and tones of carpeting as well as residential number plaques and lamps give a sense of arrival to the rooms.
A stay in the Dylan means experiencing the best of the future with an elegant hint of the past.

Good Find in an Excellent Location

I found a great weekend rate at the Dylan for 179.00 per night. You cannot find a boutique hotel near Grand Central for that price! It was chic, it was clean, staff was friendly. The only thing I would change is the bed linens. The pillowcases were very scratchy and so were the sheets... softer cotton please! I loved the beakers in the bathroom and having a robe with slippers. Thanks for a great stay and a spectacular price! I hope I run into this rate again in the near future.

Start out going north on 134th Street toward South Conduit Ave (NY-27). Turn right onto South Conduit Blvd. Turn left onto 150th Street. Turn left onto North Conduit Ave (NY-27W). Merge onto Van Wyck Expressway (I-678 North) via the ramp on the left. Merge onto I-495 East via Exit 12b (partial toll road). Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn left onto East 37th Street.
