Loft 523 is a sexy, sophisticated sanctuary. What makes our lofts great! Pure open space, design with edge, modern electronics, architectural artifacts and a local take on concealing and revealing the design elements. Our lofts average 600 square feet, with spacious spa-like bathrooms topping 100 feet, with agape's awe-inspiring spoon tubs. Signature high ceilings boost the sense of volume and elevate the human spirit. One is reminded of David Hockney thoughts regarding a loft, our perception of space has incredible effects on us. Ultimately, it is about our identity: who we are and why we are. Not mere matter. Electronics: Loft 523 is a high tech playground. Sony's CD/DVD surround sound systems are standard. Flat screen televisions are standard. Anywhere in the hotel, one can access the Internet at more than 3 megabits on Loft 523's blazing wireless network.

The hotel was a little difficult to locate as it is subtly addressed. The staff seemed minimal but helpful when asked. No one offered help with our luggage until we were almost to the elevator. My husband and I felt the hotel better suited to the 49 and under age group. The room was large and very modern but still comfortable. The bath was luxurious and large. The walk in shower had opposing shower heads and the tub was huge and freestanding. We did not valet park as the young man at the reception desk suggested we self park a few blocks away at a parking garage. There is no on site restaurant but one nearby offers limited room service or a discount if you eat at that restaurant. The service at the restaurant was great, the food was good, not great. In-room spa services were available.
Close to/walking distance from the French Quarter.
Honestly, I think we were just a little too old to enjoy our stay fully.
