I enjoyed my stay at the Parc 55. Full service, all the amenities and a good rate. I particularly enjoyed the high thread count sheets. -Sandy Songy , from New Orleans, United States - 9/8/2009
Great Hotel

My wife & I stayed at the Parc for Mother's Day and our 4th anniversary. The lobby has just been renovated and looks amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, concierge very helpful, food was delicious, room service very courteous and prompt and the elevators were fast. Most hotels have a ridiculous wait time for a meal or an elevator, not here. You are right in the center of Union Square. The trolley is right outside your door and you can be anywhere within 10 minutes. (Golden Gate bridge, Bay bridge, Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, Little Italy, Chinatown and only 3 blocks from the Orpheum Theatre). My wife and I wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately could not. We recommend this impeccable 4-star hotel to anyone who is going to the San Francisco area for the first time, what a fabulous experience. We cannot wait to go back to relive this incredible experience in the near future. There is so much we have not done. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Parc 55. - 6/17/2009
Great Location, Very Cozy, But...
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I stayed here for one night while I was in town to visit a friend. It was a very convenient location to BART and to Union Square if you were shopping. The room was very nice, it had a little sofa, and a very clean updated bathroom. The bed was a little too firm, and the doors were SUPER thin, you could hear everything in the halls and all the door slams. Plus there seemed to be a lot of young, friendly people hanging out in the hotel so it smelled like skunk in all the hallways and elevators, very unpleasant...Not quite a 4 star hotel, but probably a 3.5 star one. -Arin, from San Jose, United States - 3/5/2009

Great Experience...After Some Initial Problems
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We had a very good price for a large room, however the check-in was frustrating. The "special" perks for booking with Perfect Escapes on the website included 1) breakfasts 2) room upgrade 3) late checkout till 4 pm without charge [All on availability]. The desk said that they knew of none of these. I had to go to the business center and pay for internet use and printout of the page showing these benefits. We got a continental breakfast, a wonderful room upgrade on the 30th floor, but no late checkout. Overall, good stay, not great staff, good location, lovely room at a good price, and mediocre continental breakfast. The rep from Perfect Escapes was very helpful and responded quickly to emails. We did get internet, although had to give credit card (hotel is advertised as having free internet which they say is not true). We ended up not being charged for the internet. -Saul, from Calgary, Canada - 2/5/2009
Great Location

Great location for the Nike Marathon on Oct. 19th. Lots of things of interest in the area. The refurbished rooms were very upscale. We enjoyed being on the 22nd floor. And it was wonderful to eat breakfast on the 30th floor with the great views. We were lucky with good weather for the first two days.
We had a two night reservation and then last minute sought a third night. We appreciated getting that. Through a generous upgrade for the Thursday night, we were able to stay in the same room instead of moving for the second reservation.
We asked for a ten dollar in and out parking but since it was not mentioned in the reservation, we didn't rent a car.
The only thing we'd change is having free internet access! We didn't pay the $12.50 per day for Internet access. We expected a luxury hotel to have it for everyone.
My daughter, Susan might come again in the future and she said she'd stay with Perfect Escapes again. -Ingrid, from Pebble Beach, United States - 10/21/2008
Great Stay

Stayed here for 2 nights in August. Room was nice, large & had a great view of the city. Convenient location near transportation & shops. Great breakfast. Only issue was that at check-in staff were unaware of the "PerfectEscapes" extras, such as early check-in, breakfast & room up-grade. However all was eventually resolved. -Dayle Kearns , from New York, United States - 8/26/2008
Parc 55 San Francisco

Hotel is very large and busy. takes quite awhile to check in and if you need to use the safe deposit boxes. Parking is $50.00 per day. Even though our rate on the room was good, the parking increased the total package quite a bit. Staff were friendly. Concierges were not that helpful. Overall, if you do not have a car to park, the price was very good. Best rooms on higher floors. -James Behm, from Palm Springs, United States - 8/13/2008
Parc 55 Review
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The hotel is clean and convenient and the rooms are recently updated, so nice. They have a lovely restaurant with delightful breakfast. However, the on-line pictures portray the whole hotel much nicer than I think it really is. There was some confusion over our reservation with respect to breakfast included in price, but they finally agreed after some lengthy discussion. We had 2 rooms; one TV did not work, and after 3 days of asking, it was never corrected. Very convenient location in downtown/shopping district of San Francisco. -Suaan, from Overland Park, United States - 7/29/2008

I was promised by the staff that breakfast was included and when I got there, it was not...Besides from that, it was a good package. -Ashley Alessini, from Madera, United States - 7/25/2008

It was a great value. Excellent location to Union Square, and shopping. The only negative is the cost of parking. As with all SF hotels, it is exorbitant. I will always check here first, and if the cost is the same, it will be my first choice. -Robert, from Danville, United States - 7/22/2008

Great Price, Even Better Experience
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Through Perfect Escapes we got a fantastic deal including the breakfast/early in/late out/room upgrade, super pricing, and a superior view. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The most unexpected perk was the location. Great for shopping and quick jot to the pier. We actually went to see an A's game and drove from SF to Oakland. A little traffic, but our hotel experience really made the vacation very pleasant! -Joni Sumter, from Clovis, United States - 7/14/2008

Very good price (paid $209/night). Asked for and received free upgrade and free breakfast buffet. Location was spectacular - next to BART, Powell Street Cable Car and F-Line. -Richard, from Lakeville, United States - 6/19/2008
Not Everything I Was Promised.
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We understood we would be able to check in early (on availability), but we didn't get checked in until 4. We did not get an automatic upgrade (also on availability), the desk manager was very nice, but the p.c. system was being changed and we had regular rooms. After the 2nd night I asked about the upgrade but we would have all been parted, so it wasn't worth changing. I booked 3 rooms and told everyone that we were getting early check in and upgrades, so it spoiled my trip a bit as I felt our party was a bit let down. The hotel staff were very nice. -maggie, from league city, United States - 6/16/2008

Downtown San Francisco Stay At the "Parc 55"
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The Parc 55 is a very good hotel situated in downtown San Francisco right by Market St. and within walking distance to Union Square and the Business District.
You have plenty of space in the lobby and a good valet parking service (rather expensive as elsewhere in San Francisco).
The staff is efficient, even though - as it often occurs in big hotels -service may not be defined as tailored to the individual guest.
I would advise "Parc 55" both for business and for leisure purposes.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It was close to BART, shopping, and trolley stops. I did think it was a little pricey (I know, this is San Francisco) for such a small room. But the linens were top notch, and the views were great. Cheerful and helpful staff didn't hurt, either.

I was looking for a hotel in San Francisco and was researching information online. I could not believe my luck at finding Perfect Escapes.com. I was thrilled with the prospect of getting a luxury hotel within my budget. I liked the location as it was in the heart of the financial district and close to the subway, cable cars and shopping. The hotel staff where friendly and informative. Our room was nicely appointed and we had the best sleep ever. The bed was soooo comfortable and I loved the luxurious bedding. My brother picked us up the next day and he could not believe the room and the hotel for the price we paid. I have recommended this hotel to anyone planning on a trip to San Francisco. I would stay here again and again. -Linda Bentley, from Sarnia, Canada - 10/26/2007
