Great Stay At The Omni

This was our first time in Washington and we loved everything. The Omni is a beautiful hotel, and you are made to feel very welcome. The Hotel is not walking distance to the Mall, but is a very short walk to the Subway. It is 3 stops to metro Central then you change and another couple of stops to the Smithsonian. You can get off at Metro Central and walk if you prefer. The Omni is in a great area, very safe and next to a beautiful park. There are many restaurants and shops close by as well. Our hotel room was large and the bed very comfortable, there was even a turn down service each night. It was great value for money and I would definitely stay again. I would also like to compliment Perfect Escapes. They always replied promptly to my emails and very efficiently handled the reservation. -Jeanette, from Coogee, Australia - 5/29/2009
Convenient and Well-Located

The Omni Shoreham in DC is a comfortable and reasonably priced destination. Close to bustling Adams Morgan. Only glitch was inability to check in due to some celebrity arriving or departing from that hotel or another place nearby. Hours later when we did check in the desk staff was unaware/unconcerned and offered no apology or explanation. We stood on the opposite corner for over 30 minutes with many other guests who had run out for a brief time and were unable to reenter the hotel - many like we were missing prior engagements. Maybe that is just DC, but we felt some kind of acknowledgment of our inconvenience would have been appropriate. Otherwise, room, especially bath was small, but very quiet and comfortable. -Artha Gerland , from Marblehead, United States - 5/15/2009
