Best Pool in SoBe

I've been to a lot of pools from Bali to Hawaii and I have to say the Raleigh's is right up there with the best of them. I like the fact that there is a wading area surrounding the whole expanse of the pool and the temperature was perfect. Mauricio our pool waiter was great and kept the drinks flowing and we even received a bottle of Veuve Cliquot from a friend who phoned it in from out of town and they were able to locate us in the pool area--impressive! The food in the restaurant and pool area was excellent as well. We had Cuban sandwiches (of course), tuna wraps and calamari at the pool and it was delicious. I had a nice room which I booked (ocean front) with a beautiful view of the ocean and pool area. My only complaint was that I was not accommodated until past 4 O'clock. The front office manager apologized and said they had a room ready at 3 but it was near the elevator and he said I'd like this room better. Well I think this manager should know that 513 is close to the elevator. -Frederick Ramos , from Chicago, United States - 5/21/2009
An Oasis in South Beach

We stayed one night at the Raleigh and wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel has a cool, retro vibe with lots of amenities (bar, coffee bar, room service, restaurants). But the outdoor area blew us away - gorgeous pool, with cabanas and cozy queen-sized lounge chairs for relaxing! The pool area is surrounded by huge palms, orchids, soft music and cool lighting - so amazing! And the beach is right past the pool, perfect location! The rooms are very nice, not huge but they are fine. The staff was very nice and attentive, very helpful! We loved The Raleigh and hope to go back soon! -Jennifer, from Shaker Heights, United States - 5/1/2009
Classic Cool in SoBe
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The Raleigh is one of those hotels that doesn't have to shout cool because it just is. The lobby, the pool, the outdoor dining area and the rooms are all understated, quiet and chic. The hotel is an outpost of elegance between the over-the-top extremism and mass rowdiness that are clogging South Beach. If you're the type for this hotel, you'll feel it every moment of your visit. -Drury Sherrod , from Pasadena, United States - 4/8/2009
South Beach Cool

There was definitely an air of hip and cool at the hotel. The pool was fantastic--warm and inviting. The staff was generally courteous and helpful. They did a great job of welcoming our pets. We booked the package that included breakfast but was never told there was a specific limit of what we could order. We were able to get a nice upgrade thanks to Perfect Escapes. -Douglas Van Daele , from Iowa City, United States - 3/16/2009
