The staff was friendly. Hotel clean. Small room, but doable. No view to outside. Rooftop pool with ocean view and bar was wonderful. -Richard Johnson , from Taylor, United States - 7/29/2008

As always The Hotel of South Beach provided excellent service for the 6th year and proves to be one of my favorites of all time. The staff continues to cater to all of the guests' needs and the food is some of the best I have ever had. Vacationing with a friend who had never stayed there, she was impressed on all levels and frequently mentioned the feeling of "being well taken care of ". A great experience once again!!! -Sophie, from Portsmouth , United States - 4/21/2008
The Hotel at South Beach

Very good hotel considering the location and its well known restaurant. For the rate, the hotel could have included a basic continental breakfast. The $15 per day parking facility was worth while. Overall the service offered was very good and the room and bath room were very clean and styled according to the art deco/tradition of the area. -Jerald Simkin , from EAST HAMPTON, United States - 1/10/2008

This art deco hotel was upscale, very central and was booked through Perfect Escapes, but not expensive, though I think 4 star. I was especially struck by the innovative use of space, in the room and especially in the small but nifty and ergonomically-designed bathroom. The service was good, if not a little laid-back for a hotel of this class. -York E Davis , from Ottawa, Canada - 12/28/2007
Small Room

I paid the higher price to have the upgraded room. What I received was a room that was just about big enough to fit the bed. The bathroom was smaller then what you would find in a basic cruise ship room. The Hotel is very nice for South Beach standards. Close to everything, clean rooms. My business partner stayed in a room two doors down. It was more of a room like what I had expected. -Michael Baton , from Orlando, United States - 12/27/2007
Our 12th Wedding Anniversary

My husband and I have stayed at "the hotel" twice before this anniversary vacation. This is the reason we choose to stay there again. We were both so looking forward to this vacation.
When I made this reservation, I was not told that the time we chose to visit Miami was [during a large special event]. We couldn't even leave our hotel, or sit in the hotel lobby, because the chairs were occupied by people strolling the street. For this I paid more than $1,000.
This was the worst anniversary we ever had -- we'll not be back. -Mary Lyle, from Ormond Beach, United States - 11/20/2007
