Overview
Loews Miami Beach Hotel will be undergoing a guest room and lobby renovation from June through September 2009. There will be construction occurring in the lobby area and guest-room floors that will result in noise during the day. However, all of the hotel's spectacular recreational facilities including the beach, lawn areas, spa and pool will be fully operational. -----
Located on the ocean in exciting South Beach, featuring 800 stylish rooms and lavish suites, the hotel combines the historic splendor of an art deco landmark -the completely restored St. Moritz- with the modern sophistication of a new 18 story tower. A casual yet refined setting by the sea, a combination of elegance and romance. Most of the guest rooms have balconies and view of the bay or city.

We stayed here for 1 night before we left on our cruise...wish we could have stayed all week. This is an amazing hotel, and the staff our superb! -Christina Lopez , from Virginia Beach, United States - 8/31/2009
What a Place!

This hotel is amazing. The service, the room, very clean, the food is tops. I normally stay at another hotel when I am in town, but with the special they are running because of the renovations I could stay with my family. Everything was perfect. I cannot wait to come back. I hope they have good prices next year so I can return. - 8/18/2009
Disappointed
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Upon arrival we were unable to secure a room with two double beds. After requesting we not be penalized for our night's stay we were miraculously given a room with two beds! Imagine that. But the joke was on us. At 8:45 AM the next morning, on a Saturday no less, we were rudely awaken to the loudest drilling and hammering I could ever imagine. I was aware they were remodeling however could not imagine they would be doing it right over our heads on a Sat. morning (after Friday night in South Beach, come on!). The reason I chose Loews was for their luxury accommodations and service, what a HUGE disappointment. I've stayed with Loews before and absolutely loved it. This stay really was not what one would expect with Loews. I would not recommend this property at all. The rooms are very small in comparison to their other properties. So sad about this experience. -Melodie, from Venice, United States - 8/14/2009

Expectations Exceeded
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
When we arrived at Loews we were told our room was nor ready but would be ready no later than 4 P.M. I asked if they had a room available with a good view and was told they would try accommodate my request. They took my phone number and called me when the room was ready. We were told we would be going across the walkway to the San Moritz side of the hotel and that we had a specialty room. we were somewhat disappointed that we were not in the main hotel but the disappointment soon faded when we arrived at our room. We had a two level suite with the living area on the main level and bedroom and bath on the upper level. We were on the twelfth floor and had a huge balcony outside on the main level with a great view of the city and partial view of the ocean. Having not booked directly through the hotel and at a great discount due to some renovations at the hotel, which never affected us, I was very surprised to have gotten an upgraded room. Only down side was food and drink at the hotel are -John Chezick , from Champlin, United States - 7/8/2009
Great Deal!
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We took advantage of the special half price deal Loews is offering due to renovation work; absolutely the best room deal in SoBe! We were not disturbed by any construction noise and the location was perfect for us. Also, eat at Emeril's!! (next door) The food is fantastic and quite reasonably priced. -Dean Rose , from Austin, United States - 6/29/2009
Wonderful Hotel

We had a wonderful time. As expected, the services were expensive ($34.00 a night to park the car), but the amenities were wonderful and the staff was very helpful. -Lacey Gourley , from Austin, United States - 6/12/2009

This is a top notch resort that goes out of its way to cater to its clients. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Loews Miami Beach. -Cynthia Barsky , from Boynton Beach, United States - 5/31/2009
Forget the Rooms on the North Side
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I did not like my first room. The grand balcony was over a flat roof whose vents were very noisy. All the rooms on the north side are over that flat roof. When I reserved ocean view (by opposition to partial ocean view ) I thought I would have ocean front . I asked and was then transfered to an ocean front room when one became available ( 2 days later )with an additional charge of $30/night. I had to vacate the ocean front room for the last day but they gave me a room on the south side which was fine with me.
The only other thing that I did not like about this hotel is that they do not provide complimentary beach chairs and parasols. For old people like me who go to the beach for half an hour, the price of $25 was rather steep. The company that rents the chairs will not charge a lower price, even at 4 PM. -Marika Lafleur , from St-Lambert, Canada - 4/29/2009

Disappointment
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
While I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and enjoyed my stays, this time was horrible. While the room was nice, the service was terrible. The hotel used to have great food and this time had nothing edible. January is supposed to be during the season, yet you cannot get anything to eat other than "bar food" between 3 and 5 p.m. What I got at the bar was inedible and when I tried to speak to the manager I was rebuffed and sniffed at. I then tried the food and beverage manager who did not want to hear anything I had to say. The customer service was appalling and I won't be staying there again. I can't believe what used to be a premier hotel has turned into such fodder. I will say that the spa was excellent and had great massages. -Joseph Giovannoni , from Accokeek, United States - 2/4/2009
Poor Front Desk Service
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Asked to change room due to crying infant across hall. We were told we need to pack up our room and then go down to the front desk to see if there was anything available in our price category. If not, we could pay the difference for an upgrade or return to our original room. -George, from Milton, United States - 2/2/2009

Excellent Hotel and Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Very nice hotel with 5 star service, the location is excellent (close but not too close to the South Beach nightlife), good pool area and right on the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend it, although food and drink are expensive, but this applies to lot of South Beach. No aspect of my stay would stop me coming back, except maybe the bill, especially if you are paying in Euros or GB Pounds. -Chris, from Belfast, Northern Ireland - 11/21/2008

My wife and I felt like king & queen. The service and care was awesome, rooms were very clean and the grounds were kept very well. But the best part was 24 hour room service and the hotel staff especially Bill the bellman. Thanks -Sheldon Levin , from boynton beach, United States - 9/24/2008

We were there for just a weekend but it was fabulous. Pool, beach, service were all fantastic and great location in fun atmosphere, walking distance to Lincoln Road, lots of restaurants and shopping. Loved it! -Cristina Dehombre , from MIami, United States - 8/26/2008
Perfectly Luxurious
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night getaway at the Loews in Miami Beach. It is by far the best appointed and most luxurious hotel on the strip and with its beach access and prime location, you can't get any better. The service was impeccable and they went out of their way to give you the little extras that make a guest feel pampered (frozen grapes and smoothies poolside, special lemonades in the lobby...all free). We would absolutely return again if in the area. -Kim, from Woonsocket, United States - 7/28/2008

The hotel and staff is excellent. This hotel is very elegant yet it makes you feel at home. The beds are so comfortable that it made me not want to get up. The staff is friendly. It was a wonderful stay which we intend to use over and over again. I also hear it is pet friendly which I commend! What more can you ask for. Thanks for making all the convenience available to us who love our pets as children. -Kimberlye Chadwick , from Tampa, United States - 11/19/2007
