We won a trip to Miami to see a rock concert and stayed at Hotel Victor. We have never been to Miami so we are the kind of people that are very nice and quiet and didn't want to make problems. But I don't know if it was because we won the hotel stay from a trip or what but the room when we walked in smelled of heavy smoke, so we just sprayed and moved on, until the toilet in the bathroom broke. We told the front desk and the last day the janitor came and fixed it while we were in the room. Then we had to keep calling the front desk because the T.V. kept changing and buying shows that we didn't order. The janitor told us that the eye to the T.V. was pointed out the window so some other room was coming on our T.V....The last night they were having a radio contest that the front desk said they do every so often at the pool and we were stopped from going to and from the hotel by big guys that thought we were sneaking into their event when we just wanted to get to our room!!

We have stayed here twice - the staff are excellent and V Spa is really elegant and yet fun. The pool is small but it is an intimate hotel and we never felt crowded. Breakfast is great and the Victor is so well located that you can walk anywhere. They have excellent beach service. Vix is a very good restaurant if you don't want to get out and about.
