Totally Robbed!

A great meal at Farm aside, our honeymoon stay was less than optimal. The day after a terrible massage at the overly expensive spa, my husband and I were heartbroken to realize that our bungalow had been broken into and robbed. We had been warned about the lock on the back gate, the thief's point of exit, leading us to conclude this has happened before. We were compensated for the stolen cash, but had to pay the full accommodation charges and results of the said "inquiry" have since not been communicated to us as promised. In addition, the wine country driver that the inn set up decided that we would be better to visit his suggested vineyards rather than the big name spots we wanted to go to. Looking back now, we believe he received a cut from said wineries and could possibly even been involved in the robbery. No doubt the Inn is a beautiful campus in an otherwise rough area, but the security of their guests is not a priority. We even saw a police car at another bungalow. Everyone Must Go

This inn was absolutely superior. We were greeted with a wonderful staff who sympathized with our long journey to get to the inn.
The accommodations were breathtaking. We had our own cottage, bathroom had radiant heated floors, 1200 sq. feet & a tremendous outdoor area (for privacy) trimmed with fresh lavender and rosemary shrubs.
The view from the hot tub outside was one of the most impressive views of the vineyards. The pool service was wonderful as they supplied us with fresh ice water and cool towels to relieve our sun burnt faces.
The Farm Restaurant on the premises is gorgeous, the outside waiting area(which had a huge horizontal fire enclosure) made you feel comfortable in waiting for your reservation. The Farm grows their own ingredients, therefore the selection of entrees is quite delicious and unique. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Napa Valley, as it is magnificent and close to the wineries.
The Spa is truly a relaxing place to be.

This property is beautiful. The cottages are spacious and it looks like it came out of the Restoration Hardware catalog. Love the private patio as well. We received excellent customer service from the moment we got out of our car. Must try their restaurants. The Hilltop has great breakfast and The Farm has excellent food! We are definitely going back there!!! -Rose Micu , from San Jose, United States - 9/24/2008

Seeing from the outside, this cottage is suspicious, but inside is perfect and modern style. Welcome wine service is very good. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. -Makoto Muraoka , from Yokohama, Japan - 9/1/2008
More Than Pleased

We were very pleased with our accommodations. The garden cottage was very unique. We loved the patio and the room was beautiful. The bathroom heated floor was awesome! The property itself was quiet and relaxing. We did have breakfast at the hilltop that was good but dinner at the farm was disappointing in both service and meal. Would stay here again though. -James Hays , from orland park, United States - 6/3/2008

I would highly recommend staying in the lovely Carneros Inn. Our cottage was beautifully designed with high ceilings, wood floors and fluffy comforters. Modern touches such as the flat screen TV and satellite music were integrated seamlessly. We loved the private back deck as well as the outdoor shower. The food at Boon Fly Cafe and the Hilltop Restaurant was great, as well as the Margaritas at Farm! Every employee we came into contact with was personable, welcoming and knowledgeable. We definitely rate everything as 5-star! -Natalie, from Tulsa, United States - 5/14/2008
The Carneros Inn

Each cottage has its own, private outdoor space with table and chairs. The bathroom was large, so we weren't tripping over each other to get ready in the morning, very clean, and I loved the indoor/outdoor shower. The area with the bed was a little more crowded, although certainly as large as a typical hotel room. The room had great windows and glass doors to the outside, private area, so it felt larger. The stereo/TV system was complicated to use, and we often had difficulty switching from the stereo to TV. The staff is very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, and breakfast at the Hilltop Cafe is a real treat! -Sally, from Chicago, United States - 5/5/2008
Unexpectedly Great Stay

When we chose to stay at the Carneros, we didn't realize how much of a treat it would be! The cottage was quaint, highly functional and luxurious in terms of amenities. I do not agree with the reviewers who complained about the lack of cleanliness. We found the room and the outside area to be perfectly clean and neat. The heater in the private garden is great for cold winter nights, but we would highly recommend staying at this hotel during the summer months, when one could fully enjoy all the wonderful amenities the hotel has to offer. The restaurants on property are great also! We'll return one day...during the summer. -Julia Gorodetsky , from San Francisco, United States - 12/31/2007
