The online pictures of the hotel were more impressive than the hotel itself. We rec'd an upgrade to a room with a balcony which would have been needed in order to let fresh air into the room; the room was very stuffy. Overall the look and smell of the hotel was "weathered" but having it right in the middle of Santana Row was convenient.

I expected better services from this hotel. The majority of the people that were staying when I was there were a lot older and they seemed to get more services like having the door opened as they walk out or they'd be greeted; I felt a bit discriminated. I usually look for a place to stay for pampering and relaxation. Their doors were slamming all morning! i wasn't sure if it was the guest going in and out of their rooms or housekeeping, but they've got to something to their doors to prevent it from being so loud! Also, their TV was just a regular TV. I would have assumed it to be upgraded by now. Other than that, the design and layout of the room was very modern and relaxing.
