Wonderful Oasis in the City

This was our second stay at le Petite Auberge and it was as special as the first time. The desk person, the valet, the location, the charming room, generous happy hour, and great breakfast make this inn a perfect place to stay in San Francisco. -Thomas, from Aptos, United States - 2/23/2009
Not Quite What I Expected
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I stayed at this property due to many reviews I had read about it being one of the top boutique hotels in the country. So, a warning. If that is what you are expecting, make sure you are not in a standard room. That is where I was originally placed. Not good.
I got moved to the next category, however, which included a room with a fireplace in it and a little room to move around. This room was great, and worth the price I paid.
On top of that, the staff is fantastic. They are very helpful and friendly.
Finally, there's the breakfast. Many hotels include a "continental" breakfast with the room. The breakfast at the Petite Auberge was great. There was either scrambled eggs or quiche every morning. Great coffee, croissants, fruit and pastries.
If you can get a good price for the room, it is definitely worth staying here - but again, make sure you are not in the "standard" room. -Robert, from Austin, United States - 2/9/2009

Great Return to S.F.

My husband and I who now live in Australia but who formerly lived on the S.F. Peninsula stayed in Petite Auberge for three nights during a recent visit to the U.S. The room was lovely, with the fireplace quickly warming the S.F. winter cold. We found the other guest whom we talked with at breakfast to be friendly and interesting. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants that would cater to vegetarians as well as steering us away from those that would not be good value. We would highly recommend the location, as Union Square and other attractions are easily reached on foot. -Diane Rockloff , from Ormiston, Australia - 6/28/2008

Six women celebrating birthdays in San Francisco. Shopped, ate and played cards. The hotel was very helpful in whatever we needed. Loved having a fireplace. -Judy Johnson , from Chandler, United States - 11/17/2007
A Small Hotel and Small Room
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We thought the hotel's rooms were very small, the bathroom was small and the furnishings were outdated. I probably won't stay there again. Our luggage barely fit into the room and once it was in the room, you could not walk around the bed!!! I am amazed that Perfect Escapes represents this hotel!! -Janice, from Houston, United States - 10/5/2007
