Great stay- Kimpton Hotels are always terrific. -Christos, from dallas, United States - 3/24/2008
Our Favorite SF Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We love Kimpton hotels in general, and the Palomar is the cream of the crop in SF.
The rooms are stylish without being outrageous or uncomfortable, and the service is very good.
The lobby is a little small (although the bar upstairs is perfect for lounging) and if you want utter quiet be sure to ask for a room overlooking the inner courtyard rather than Market Street.
But you can't beat the location, right up the escalator from BART and 1/2 block from the Cable Car turnaround at Powell. -Anita, from San Francisco, CA, United States - 2/21/2008
Very Nice, but Very Pricey
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I loved the hotel. It is beautiful inside and out. right in the middle of all that's San Fran, but my God, the price. This place is nice but very expensive. It has Ritz Carlton prices but not Ritz Carlton rooms and service.
Parking fee is a lot and not part of your room rate. So be ready. Bell Captain Earnest is great and very helpful. Front desk had money issues. They didn't seem to have any change. Employees were giving me the change back for room cost. I found that strange too.
Over all I had a great stay, but won't stay there again because it was too expensive. -Alberto Rodriguez , from West Palm Beach, United States - 1/24/2008
