Our visit to the L'Auberge was a welcome experience. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Our only disappointment was the level of construction underway. Although their website did state "construction" we had no understanding that it meant the entire property was torn up. We would love to return to see the final product! Lastly, we tried for 2 days to contact the spa only to learn that they were closed due to the construction. I would recommend L'Auberge respond to the email requests and update their website to reflect that the spa is temporarily closed.

Bad Value for the Money

This is my second stay at L'Auberge. We choose a garden cottage and found it to be a real disappointment. It was "newly remodeled", which should have been a tip off. The room was poorly redecorated out of a catalog, with the bed facing the door. It had apparently just been reassembled with little or no care. No trash can, loose plumbing fixtures,no CD or iPod player etc. When we arrived at the cottage the bellman proudly proclaimed the refrigerator and then discovered that there wasn't one. Maintenance arranged a replacement in our absence; a small cube fit for a dorm room that was literally placed on the floor next to the bed.The cabins are very close together and tend to lack privacy because the pedestrian paths are poorly designed and are configured close by the windows. Who wants to have to draw the shades in Sedona?
The exercise room was a joke. It was located at the adjacent sister property which appears to be a time share or interval ownership type place.

This is the most amazing getaway. I'm 7 months pregnant, we got there after dinner and room service, we called and they actually opened the kitchen and made me a burger and fries just for me. Service was perfect. Room was great and food just as amazing.
