Beautiful Setting
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Everything about our stay was fabulous. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, the setting is gorgeous, the rooms are very comfortable. At check-out, make sure you review your bill carefully - the Perfect Escapes rate is quite different than the hotel's and you just have to make sure they're posting it correctly. The hotel is about 25 minutes away from La Jolla and Del Mar, which are perfect little excursions. -Diana, from Los Angeles, United States - 8/20/2009

Wonderful Stay At The RB Inn
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I stayed at the RB Inn two nights for a wedding. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and responded quickly to any request. They were especially considerate offering golf cart rides around the property so we wouldn't ruin our formal attire and because the resort is very large and can be confusing to get around. The food was very good, and the coffee shop was a good alternative to a big breakfast. While the rooms are lodged in multiple buildings and not all had elevator access, staff was always around to give directions or carry items, and the rooms themselves were very nice and comfortable - our standard room had a nice patio and fountain outside. The event facilities were great as well, and I was told the golf course was very good too. Even with many events going on at the same time, everything was well organized and executed. Overall a wonderful stay. -Sarah, from San Francisco, United States - 8/3/2009

Had a Nice Golf Vacation
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Stayed for 6 nights in April of '09. Had a room overlooking the course, room and views were great. Golfed twice on the course on the property. Enjoyable, interesting course that was well maintained. 1st tee is just steps from your room!! Service and accommodations were excellent. Food is a little pricey. Only complaint is for you to check your bill carefully. The rate through Perfect Escapes was not what was originally charged ($30 more/night fee was being charged) and was also charged for breakfast, when it should have been included. Both issues were easily resolved with a visit to the front desk. -Stephen Lasecki , from Leominster, United States - 4/18/2009
If It Weren't for a Tub Full of Ants, Would Have B
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The service and room were wonderful. The problem was that I woke up to a tub full of ants. They fixed it, but it made me late for work and in general wasn't pleasant. -Francine Turk , from Lincolnshire, United States - 2/23/2009
Nice Weekend
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, we were upgraded to a lovely golf course view in 700 building in a refurbished, good size room. We had a very minor issue with the remote and front desk sent up a nice cheese, crackers and fruit basket! Nice spa. The best pool is the spa salt water pool and you can only use it on the day of spa services. We thought the breakfast was reasonable, lunch delivered to spa pool ridiculously overpriced, dinners and brunch pricy. Check your bill carefully, we had to have bill redone 3 times on checkout to have our included package items removed from bill. We would return, thought it was very nice. -terri, from yoirba llinda, United States - 11/7/2008
Lovely, Quiet Time
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I have been to the resort many times in the last 35 years as my parents used to live down in Rancho Bernardo. It was my husband's birthday, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Peaceful, quiet place and managed to get upgraded to a beautiful view of the golf course. Enjoyed breakfast every morning, which was included in the price. Perfect Escapes had the best price and would use them again. Thanks. -Barbara, from Sherman Oaks, United States - 9/27/2008

The Inn was very nice, clean, roomy, and in a beautiful setting. The front desk people were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions. But I enjoyed my short stay. -Bernard Kosakowski , from Mamaroneck, United States - 8/5/2008
Anniversary to Remembered
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
With the exception of the confusion at check out, everything was wonderful. I had contacted Janell at Perfect Escape regarding the issue. I didn't understand that when I gave my credit info. online that PE did not charge me yet. So when the hotel asked for my CC they've charged me for the room.
I was going to recommend a friend there this weekend for their anniversary because it was a beautiful place if it was a little more affordable.
P.S. The walls were pretty thin as we could hear everything next door. -Yvonne Park , from West Covina, United States - 7/24/2008
Star Search
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Rancho Bernardo Inn is definitely not 4 or 5 star quality. After driving nearly six hours, our room was not ready and would not be until almost 5:00p. The hotel staff was not friendly (except for the valet boys) nor helpful. The room was par at best. Bed was comfortable but very sparse furnishing in the bathroom. Our a/c leaked so there was water on the floor constantly. We had a family with a new baby and a toddler. Baby cried at all hours and the toddler was up at 6:15. We had a corner room next to the lobby of our building where a check-in booth was set up for the convention. People were talking outside our room at all hours. We enjoyed the pool and the service there (drinks/food available). I doubt we will ever return. -Paul Woodard , from Fresno, United States - 7/3/2008

Great Property
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at this hotel. This was possible in part because of the large size of the property. The one down side was that they offer a local membership to the resort and this brings in a lot of families to spend the day at the pool while we had the misfortune of the parents parked at the bar getting drunk while the kids swam unattended. We requested that if the hotel felt they were unable to confront the situation to move us to the spa pool area which they did and it was very peaceful. If this had not been possible this would have ruined our peaceful time to read and relax at the pool. I hope the resort will consider a better policy for this before it ruins the property.
The staff is very attentive otherwise. The food is so-so with the exception of their upscale dinner restaurant. There are several good choices in the area. -MARY, from SAN DIEGO , United States - 5/6/2008
Rancho Bernardo

The Spa was excellent. Ricardo is an excellent masseuse. The room we had was a little outdated. It seemed a little awkward but was clean. You could hear outside noise (like cars passing by). Next time, I will ask for a room by the golf course! Also, I had to ask for my Perfect Escapes discounts, they were not automatic. I forgot to ask for the room upgrade. I might have enjoyed my stay more! -Richard, from Thousand Oaks, United States - 4/15/2008
Nice

The Inn was nice and very clean including the grounds, however this is a golfer's paradise. The spa was at least a 3-star and seemed out of place. I would suggest for others to stay in San Diego or La Jolla. -Paul Hernandez, from North Hollywood, United States - 2/22/2008
