I owned a timeshare with Coronado Beach Resort and was familiar with this property as it was a perk included with the timeshare. However, this past visit was the first overnight stay. The hotel is still beautiful and I cannot think of one thing to suggest as an improvement. Perhaps more bartenders at the pool. The 3 men were quite overworked providing servers with drinks and no one tended to those sitting at the bar.

Take Route 75 Coronado Bay Bridge to Orange Avenue through the town of Coronado. Orange turns into Silver Strand. Continue on Silver Strand past Naval Amphibious Base to Coronado Bay Road and turn left into Coronado Bay Resort.

In the evening, all views are illuminated either by lights of the San Diego Skyline, Coronado Bridge or the Loews pool/marina or the inland mountains and Mexico. Guestrooms are roomier then average – more than 430 sq. ft. -- and include oversized bathrooms most with separate deep Japanese-style soaking tubs. Most rooms have fully furnished balconies or terraces. All rooms have refrigerated mini bars, plush terrycloth bathrobes, two telephone lines with data port and high-speed Wayport Internet access, including wireless.
