The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service was prompt with great food for a Christmas Day at 10:00pm. The Hotel Del Coronado lived up to our holiday expectations! -Robert Farmer , from Springdale, United States - 1/7/2010
Extra Charges

$25 fee for activities seems high. We did not use these and should have a choice if we want it. $25 parking fee considering room rate is also high. -Dr Ronald Traub , from Toronto, Canada - 10/27/2009

It was 23 years since we were last at The Hotel Del Coronado, it has not changed in that time. The staff were extremely good, in particular the elevator man Andrew Landsbury who is a great ambassador for the hotel, also the bellman Richard Salts for his assistance throughout our stay, many thanks to all at Prefect Escapes for organizing our hotel visit. -James Mcblane , from KILMARNOCK, Scotland - 10/5/2009
Del Coronado Doesn't Measure Up

We booked a waterfront room at the Del for a relaxing mid-week respite. The air traffic was VERY disturbing, very loud and close to the room, with a helicopter or plane appearing every 15 minutes. Very hustle, bustle, kids everywhere...good for families, but not couples. Mediocre room, service, food, etc. For the same money, the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel would be my recommendation. -Leslie, from Fountain Valley, United States - 8/3/2009

Hotel Is Beautiful & Historic But...

My wife & I stayed in an Ocean View room ($515.00 plus per night), the view was great but the room was very noisy, you could hear everything from all over the hotel paper walls I think (newer hotel on the south side that is, can't speak for the old lodge) The room was well decorated, bed was good, but the noise made for sleepless nights, also the internet system would not work so maintenance came and removed all the cables, fortunately I had one of my own and was able to use my laptop.
The hotel is in a very nice location and maybe the bungalow or the old hotel is the better place to stay, maybe less noisy.

Comparing it to the Ritz or the St. Regis, I like them better for the same price. -Darryl, from Oceanside , United States - 9/18/2008

I feel I knew what I was paying for but the fact that I paid $605.00 per night for the room and was also charged a $25.00 per day resort fee and being a guest was still charged $23.00 per day for parking is pushing it a bit further than I appreciated. It wasn't the money but the principle. -Les Bonneau , from alta loma , United States - 7/28/2008
