Overview
Ideally located on the seam of Seattle's trendy Belltown neighborhood and the thriving retail district, the Hotel Ändra is at the epicenter of the city.
Originally built in 1926, this classic brick and terra cotta building was thoroughly recreated in 2004 to become the Hotel Ändra. Reflecting a progressive attitude, as inspired by the surrounding neighborhood of Belltown, with its' artist studios, galleries, boutiques and restaurants, the hotel offers travelers a unique and stylish hotel alternative in downtown Seattle.
The Hotel Ändra's design celebrates the strong elements of the Northwest – water, woods and stone – along with Scandinavian design influences.
Stepping into the hotel's living room, guests are surrounded by distressed plank floors with inset custom wool hand-knotted rugs, warm walls, and rich brown woods. Arne Jacobsen swan chairs in hot orange, and minimalist accent lighting complete the relaxed, yet progressive attitude. The dramatic lobby fireplace, constructed of local split-grain granite, is surrounded by floor to ceiling golden maple bookcases and topped with a floating steel-wrapped plasma screen projecting an ever changing collection of electronic fine art.
Floating above the hotel living room, the exposed Loft was designed for casual meetings, quiet reading and socializing. Featuring contemporary salon chairs in charcoal gray, cream and deep blue woven fabric with light wood detail. Dark walnut coffee tables filled with books and magazines and brushed aluminum side tables give the space a warm, residential feel. The sleek, minimalist glass and steel railing was designed to allow guests an easy view of the living room below.
Representing design within reach, the Hotel Ändra is sophisticated, discreet and progressive.

Hip Hotel in a Great Location

The Belltown location is unbeatable, just a block and a half from the Link Light Rail station. Rooms are chic and comfortable, but watch out for the sharp corners of the bed! Bathrooms are small and not terribly luxurious, but attractive and quite functional. Lola restaurant off the lobby is part of Chef Tom Douglas's empire, as is Dahlia Lounge across the street, and Serious Pie around the corner. Our one disappointment is that we wish we'd been told in advance about the (very loud) construction going on all through our week's stay -- it woke us at 9am every morning, and made it impossible to relax in our room during the day. -Anita, from San Francisco, United States - 1/6/2010

Pleasantly surprised...all our needs were met. We enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to book our next stay here. The staff were always most helpful and friendly. -Jackie Johnston, from Pensacola, United States - 10/20/2009
Tiny Bathroom
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We stayed in a two queen suite for a couple of nights.
The room size was adequate but more like an over-sized room as opposed to a suite. The rooms are well insulated with very comfortable beds apart from the sharp wooden corners. The biggest negative was the bathroom, which was the smallest one I have ever come across outside of an airplane. A decent hotel in a central location but by no means can it be described as luxury, 4-5 star. -Mark Matters, from Calgary, Canada - 8/16/2009

Nice Boutique Hotel

Definitely great boutique hotel. One of the best features was the walk in closet, which allowed you to rid yourself of the clothes/suitcase, and make you feel like you were not in hotel mode. -Lesley Rapaport , from Vancouver, Canada - 5/26/2009

Perfect location and the restaurant downstairs (Lola's) is amazing! The staff was amazing too....they brought our car around and loaded our luggage without us even asking or waiting. -Jenniffer, from Vancouver, Canada - 3/19/2009

Really hospitable and charming hotel in great location. Friendly, willing and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Rooms a bit small. Dinner and breakfast recommendations were excellent. We'd stay here again. -Michael, from Winnetka, United States - 9/25/2008
Will Visit Again
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Was impressed with everything from the price and general service to the decor and the great location. Doesn't have the greatest amenities in terms of gym, pool, or business center but what's there gets you by if it's not an important focus of your trip. Would be my choice again if in Seattle. -Laurence, from Vancouver, Canada - 9/20/2008
Great Experience

My husband and I visited Seattle for a babymoon in early September of 2008. We chose Hotel Andra for its price and location. The hotel was immaculately maintained and our room was fantastic. We were very pleased with the decor, staff help and friendliness and most of all location. We would definitely book there again. -Hilary Fuller , from Flower Mound, United States - 9/16/2008
Modern, Comfortable, Great Location

The hotel has an excellent restaurant for breakfast, Lola's, plus it's right across the street from more Tom Douglas establishments -- Dahlia Lounge and Serious Pie-- all great places to eat. There was some street parking avail (depending on day/time).
The rooms are modern & funky. Small bathroom but good facilities. Our room was pretty clean, except the bed cover was kind of dusty. Hotel decor is cool. -Stephanie Marx , from Seattle, United States - 4/11/2008
Expected Higher Standards

Spent the evening here and was interrupted by someone just walking into room even though DO NOT DISTURB was hanging on door. Needless to say they were given quite the surprise when we were in the bed... All employees should heed the door hangers! Room was dirty and for the price I was terribly disappointed with the cleanliness. -Hope Linder , from Lacey, United States - 11/19/2007
Just what I was looking for

Marvelously comfortable beds.
Great restaurant (Lola) in the hotel -- and easy access to the Dahlia Bakery across the street.
Good service from all -- from front desk to valets.
Great location for seeing the sites in the downtown Seattle area. -BJ, from Scottsdale, United States - 10/30/2007
