We really liked the hotel and its location. We got a suite and it was the perfect size for us and our 2 children. We would recommend this hotel to anyone... -Marymichael, from Corona del Mar, United States - 10/24/2009

First, at check in I was not extended either the upgrade or the early check in. I recognize these are discretionary benefits but was disappointed none-the-less. Second, though good size the room, particularly the bathroom was in need of a face lift. We called the desk to repair the security latch on the door. They simply removed it instead of performing the repair. For the price of this property, we were very disappointed -Jay Eisenstock , from Longmeadow, United States - 8/27/2008
The Regency

We stayed at The Regency for 22 days in February/March and for 4 days in April. We love it! A guest is so pampered. Any reasonable request is fulfilled. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great for shopping, shows, and museums. We highly recommend The Regency. -Nancy M Martin , from Stamford, United States - 5/5/2008

Step up a rung from the bottom level room and the accommodations are roomy and well appointed (Keurig coffee, micro, fridge, even a kitchen sink in some). Manage to snag a Perfect Escapes upgrade from there, and the room is downright stunning.
The staff is the number one asset: friendly, quick, helpful, up and down the line. The location is marvelous, lots to eat and drink and see and do within a walk.
Breakfast is great if you don't peek at the prices (expect $35-40 a person with tax and tip). Also be sure to make a reservation the night before-- yes, you need a reservation for breakfast, even as a hotel guest.
The sole peccadillo would be internet - use the prepaid card plan if you're there more than one night. But at these rates, shouldn't it be free anyway?
It's not hip, trendy, or full of add-ons (there is a small workout room), but it is definitely a find in Manhattan and worth a re-visit.

We LOVE this hotel. Location is excellent. Rooms are SO comfortable. Service is extraordinary. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. The Library is the perfect place to have a drink or breakfast. This is by far our favorite hotel in New York. Would stay here every trip if we could! -Ellen Shuck , from Portola Valley, United States - 2/10/2008
