The only thing I would change is that I believe for the price paid it should include breakfast, but was grateful for the scones and gourmet coffee service they provide every morning. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were quite spacious with a large closet as well. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Very close proximity to all the popular venues. We have stayed here twice and will probably stay here every visit to NYC. The Lord certainly blessed us with a wonderful visit and stay! -Lindy, from Raleigh, United States - 12/11/2009

Great hotel but I am surprised that with that level there is a charge for internet and no room safe. Almost all other hotels I know do not charge for internet and have in-room safes. - 3/30/2009

The hotel is at a very good location. However the hotel is tired and dated. The staff is not very forthcoming helping guests neither with luggage nor with internet connections or other questions. If you travel for business make sure to ask for outer rooms since inner rooms have no cell phone coverage. -Monique, from Springfield, United States - 11/17/2008

I chose Perfect Escapes because of the Michelangelo. I'd stayed there before and found it a wonderful, almost quiet setting in the heart of Times Square. It's close to EVERYTHING! The staff is attentive without being overbearing. The rooms are spacious and have all the expected amenities. The newly reopened restaurant provides a good breakfast option to the complementary coffee and rolls in the lobby. My only complaint is that this complementary breakfast used to be better...more variety and better service. -Ann A, from Belmont, United States - 10/23/2008
Excellent Midtown Manhattan Hotel

My husband and I stayed at The Michelangelo hotel at the beginning of a New England cruise. We primarily enjoyed the prime location of the hotel, taking advantage of the close proximity to the Theatre district. We also walked to Central Park and spent a wonderful Saturday morning exploring. The rooms are large by New York standards. I did notice some stains on the carpet in our room, and was disappointed by our view. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to other travelers. -Andrea W, from Piedmont, United States - 10/5/2008

This is my favorite NYC hotel because of the combination of upscale rooms with plenty of space, lovely decor and warmly, friendly staff. It's conveniently located for theatre and everything else in Midtown Manhattan. -Ellen S, from Andover, United States - 2/14/2008
Great Location / Chaotic Breakfast

For the price we paid (about $300), this was a great deal. We were upgraded to a suite which was large and nicely appointed with no view. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful and the location was ideal - if you are eating at Le Bernardin, it is across the street.
Unfortunately, the bed was not terribly comfortable and the rods clanked during the night (to be fair, we did not bother to tell them until we left. The one real negative was a minor one -the "breakfast" our first morning in the lobby (which is included). It was absolute chaos (one bowl of croissants and biscoti quickly grabbed, a lineup for "fancy" coffees and other guests lounging away at the few tables). We just walked right by and went two blocks to the Stardust Diner for bacon and eggs.
Overall, a good experience. At the right price, go for it. -Charles, from TORONTO, Canada - 1/4/2008

Check-in was easy (they stowed our luggage until check-in time and brought it to our room). The breakfast was tasty, the concierge secured wonderful reservations and provided a great tip for getting wine around the corner, and the room was fantastic. I have nothing but the highest praise for this property and all who staff it. -Scott G, from Durham, United States - 10/8/2007
Simply Perfect!

We stayed in a very nice suite, the bathroom was huge and beautiful!! the jacuzzi was very nice also. Our suite was in a corner so we had a 180° view of Manhattan, the pillows and lining were really good. The lobby bar is small but cosy and elegant, the attention of the employees is excellent. Perfectly located in the hearth of Manhattan. -gustavo a, from guadalajara mexico, Mexico - 10/5/2007
