Loved the view. Service was excellent. Harry's Bar had the best bartenders! Rooms were a bit dated - but that paled in comparison to the rest. I'd stay again! -Joan, from Palos Hills, United States - 4/13/2009

Helpful staff, lovely room and view. Housekeeping could be better. Found a sock from a previous guest on the floor. Not all items from room service breakfast were removed from room. -Mary H, from Silver Spring, United States - 10/7/2008
Impressions of Leona

The Park Lane Hotel is the most regal, romantic, and exquisitely decorated hotel I've ever resided in! Each time I arrive, my beautiful "Park View" room is ready for me, with a beautiful golden box of Godiva chocolates and a written welcome note! I can just feel Leona's touch. I recommend this hotel to everyone. -Theresa N, from La Jolla, California, United States - 9/10/2008

While 1 of our rooms was not ready at check in time the hotel graciously granted us a late check out time to make up for that and deducted 50$ off our bill. We would stay there on our next visit and recommend it for others. -John C, from Teaticket, United States - 9/2/2008
Great Hotel

This is a well run, attractive, well-kept place. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The location is unbeatable. Around the corner to the right of the front door, is a place called Angela's Rock 'n Roll Deli. You can get breakfast there for under $10. My only problem with the place came when I left at 5 a.m. Out front sat a driver with a Lincoln-not a limo, just a nice car-who took me to the airport-La Guardia-and charged me $120. Although I can't blame, I wish the hotel bellman would be more aware of the cost of these cars and tell the guests before they get taken for an absurdly expensive short ride. -Stephen M, from lakeland, United States - 5/14/2008
Very Good Value for a Very Good Hotel

If you're looking for somewhere decent to stay without breaking the bank then this is the hotel. we paid $300 US per night and stayed for 6 nights in March.
Rooms were quite spacious, very warm and a very comfy bed. Room had a small fridge but no microwave but doesn't matter when eating out and about.
Hotel also had a computer room with free internet usage which was quite handy for us when booking tickets to events and so on.
All staff were truly fantastic to deal with.
Location was really good close to a number of train stations (and train lines) but could easily walk downtown to get amongst it. Also close to plenty of shops and diners and so on.
We really enjoyed staying here as it was still amongst everything but just 10-15 minutes walk from Times Square which meant we were away from all the noise but still close enough to have heaps around us. Being across from Central park was a lovely aspect too.

Rates were very good for this hotel especially for its location - right opposite Central Park. 5th Avenue is 2 mins walk. Excellent position within the City. -Alex, from London, England - 3/28/2008

The location of the Helmsley Park Lane was excellent - right across from Central Park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice except the A/C didn't work very well and it was quite warm in our room while we slept. We were only there one night, so that didn't matter too much. For the purposes of our short trip, the hotel worked great. -Tara T, from Alpharetta, United States - 3/26/2008
