Great Location - but it Comes With a Price
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The location was fabulous, within view of Grand Central at the bottom of Park Avenue. The staff were efficient and friendly and the price for the location, although expensive, was worth it and compared well with other hotels in the same area. Of course, being the city that never sleeps it's noisy all through the night and the soundproofing isn't that great, so invest in some earplugs. The room was terrific, king size bed, 40" TV although the bathroom was quite small and needed updating. There's a decent enough bar, a good place to meet friends or kick off a night out on the town. -Kris, from London, England - 10/21/2008
Boutique Hotel in the Middle of Manhattan

The rooms were small, but the bed was comfortable, and an excellent view of the city. Every staff member was professional and friendly. Everything in the room had its place, and was neatly made up -- IE: LCD TV on the wall, over the desk. Everything was top notch, and a good value for the money spent. -Aaron Carter , from Austin, United States - 10/14/2008

Found the staff very accommodating/helpful and the room (king deluxe) was beautifully appointed and a great size for a hotel room in Manhattan. Would recommend this hotel. -Sheherazade Essack , from Princeton, United States - 10/14/2008

My wife & I thought the hotel was a great value. We celebrated our anniversary there over the Fourth of July weekend. We planned to stay 2 nights, but stayed an additional night. The room was very clean, quite comfortable, very quiet and in a great location. The staff could not be more accommodating. We are planning another trip to NYC in the early fall & will plan to stay there. Would definitely recommend. -B.Kondras-Bellmawr -Blake Kondraas , from Bellmawr, United States - 7/20/2008

A Great Place

I stayed at the hotel while in town for the Van Halen show at the Garden. A very nice place. Nice bar, accommodating staff (Josephine from Housekeeping is wonderful!), nice rooms and good hot coffee in the lobby early in the morning. Nothing you wanted was too much for them to do for you as a guest. Will stay there again without question. -Chris, from Orlando FL, United States - 2/22/2008

Hotel was excellent. One bad point was the noise outside in the street on Friday morning around 2am onwards, it woke us up for quite a time. It was really bad and seems there is a nightclub beside the hotel, no one mentioned this. -Bruce, from MORETON IN MARSH, England - 2/16/2008

Room was excellent including amenities. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Hotel does not have a gym on the premise but made arrangements for me to visit the NY Sports Club about a block away which was great. Overall excellent hotel and experience. -Howard Becker , from Cherry Hill, United States - 1/30/2008
Tiny Room

The room had to be a single. We were cramped and uncomfortable. I can't believe this was a special price. Nor can I believe this was a four-star hotel.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and pleasant with great amenities. Area was quiet, especially for New York. Accessible to many stores, restaurants, and activities. We will definitely stay here again and have already told our friends about this great hotel. -Jayne, from Fayetteville, New York, United States - 12/14/2007
