Overview
Originally the site of a grand plantation home, Le Pavillon Hotel will be celebrating her centennial anniversary in 2007. She has been exquisitely restored and boasts a breathtaking lobby, fine statuary art, antiques, crystal chandeliers, 8 junior suites, and 7 signature suites. Downtown New Orleans location. Four blocks to the French Quarter. Non-smoking hotel . Complimentary internet. Full service restaurant. Fitness center. Outdoor pool. Valet parking.

Historic Gem!

Very beautiful historic hotel with very friendly staff. The biggest negative is that there is no 24 hr. room service - it ends @ 10pm, so for those who have late night munchies, this won't work for you. Great location, especially if you need to walk to the Superdome. The bathtubs could use some redoing - they're not dirty, just small and low (I'm really picky about tubs though).

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff went well above the call of duty. The accommodations were pleasant and always clean. I will definitely return on my next trip to New Orleans.

Was Not Disappointed in the Least

Le Pavillion truly lived up to our expectations. The building is one of the historic hotels that are located in the United States. You can sense the history and charm from the very moment you enter the front doors. While many hotels may have newer structures which one might assume would make them better overall, there are very few hotels new or old that could hold a candle to the beauty of Le Pavillion. Also I have found that often times when I have stayed in four and up star hotels the staff lacks in congeniality and kindness...Le Pavillion's staff proved how a high class hotel can also have a high class and wonderful staff. From the ambiance, to the room appointment, to the decorations throughout the hotel, to the hotel staff...this was an experience that I hope to duplicate in the very near future.
On a side note: I have been extremely pleased with Perfect Escapes as a travel site. They have fabulous reviews, represent wonderful places and their customer service is exemplary

Excellent Hotel

We had a fabulous stay!! The hotel is gorgeous and the customer service was absolutely top-notch. Our room was ready for early arrival (10:30 am!), our three rooms were all close together (as requested) and our rooms were even upgraded! The entire staff was friendly and warm. Everything was perfect!

We loved this beautiful hotel. The staff was nice and also very helpful. When we needed anything it was taken care of start to finish. The rooms and public areas were very clean as well as beautifully restored. We had a late night snack of crawfish in a creole remoulade sauce that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Really.
Le Pavillon exceeded all my expectations.

Romantic get away for two. We would recommend this hotel. Freshly re-done, the room was nicely appointed and clean. Room service and concierge services were prompt, enthusiastic, and professional. We liked the recommendation of "Mothers" for our first night "easy" meal by the bell captain. An easy drive in, easy parking and close enough walk to the French Quarter and sights.

Direction to the Property from East - Follow Interstate 10 West to Exit 234 A (Canal). At the bottom of the ramp, go straight 1 block. Take a right on Canal Street. Continue on Canal to Baronne Street. Go 5 blocks to the intersection of Barronne and Poydras. Le Pavillon Hotel is on the left.
Direction to the Property from North - Follow Interstate 10 West to Exit 234 A (Canal). At the bottom of the ramp, go straight 1 block. Take a right on Canal Street. Continue on Canal to Baronne Street. Go 5 blocks to the intersection of Barronne and Poydras. Le Pavillon Hotel is on the left.
Direction to the Property from South - Follow LA 23 North to Highway 90 West. Highway 90 will become the elevated the West Bank Expressway. Cross the Greater New Orleans Bridge. Take the Camp Street Exit. Go down 4 lights until you reach Poydras Street. Turn left onto Poydras, and go down 3 blocks. Le Pavillon Hotel will be in your right on the corner of Poydras and Baronne.
Direction to the Property from West - Follow Interstate 10 East toward the Central Business District (toward your right). When you get to the I-10 Slidell split. Go right. Take Poydras Street Exit 234 B. Note: The Exit merges into Poydras Street at the Superdome. Continue on Poydras Street. Le Pavillon Hotel is on your left, approximately 5 blocks past the Superdome. Please note that Baronne is a one-way street, so you cannot run left. About two-car lengths after you cross Baronne, take a left turn
