Family-owned and operated for over a hundred years, Hotel Monteleone takes pride in a hard earned reputation for excellence and continues to strive to provide a unique travel experience. And it shows. We recently became the first independent hotel in the country to receive J.D. Power and Associates Award for Outstanding Customer Service. A formidable array of elegantly appointed rooms and suites, first class amenities like our rooftop pool, fitness center, and an internationally acclaimed level of service make Hotel Monteleone the first choice for the discerning traveler. And our location is second to none.
We are just steps away from the Mississippi River, Harrah's Casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, the Superdome and numerous award-winning restaurants. Step over to Bourbon Street where there's always something happening, or wander down Royal Street where balconies overhang charming antique shops housed in buildings dating back to the 1700s. All the sights and sounds that make New Orleans unforgettable are at our doorstep.
Hotel Monteleone is an historic landmark in its own right and, like the Cathedral, the Cabildo and other French Quarter landmarks, it has a character all its own. Let us take care of you in New Orleans.

Friendliness/Helpful

General friendless and helpfulness of the entire staff - from the attendant in the garage to the front desk person - is the primary reason we would return to the Monteleone. -Irene, from Mesquite, United States - 7/8/2009

Good location. We stayed in a nice room on the 15th floor. The first room they showed us on a lower floor was very dingy. Glad they changed it for us. Nice view. Soundproof. Nice pool, but good to have spa near pool. -Judye, from Berkeley, United States - 7/6/2009
Great Hotel

The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. The regular king room is very nice for the price and very clean, neat and amenities of the room (including bathrobes, ironing board, iron, safe, minibar) and the overall appearance of the room is above expectations. Also, the heated pool on the roof is absolutely wonderful and towels are provided. Loved the hotel, room and the overall staff of the hotel. -Donna Chadwick , from GULFPORT, United States - 6/18/2009
Beautiful Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The room was small but very nice, the King sized bed was huge. Easy walking to anywhere in the French Quarter. Near Cable Cars to see the rest of the city. Be prepared to pay $30/night for parking. There isn't really any street parking available. The pool was heated in late May, I don't know if they heat it year round. -Jacqui Hawkins , from Navarre, United States - 6/4/2009

Fun in the French Quarter
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Stayed here for the weekend with a friend during Jazzfest. Our suite was lovely and the room was great. The shower did leak onto the bathroom floor quite a bit, but the rest of the room was great. The location can't be beat for venturing out into the French Quarter! -Michele Clement , from Bedminster, United States - 5/7/2009
Our Stay At Hotel Monteleone - April 09
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Monteleone. We had a preferred King room on the 7th floor, which was a good size, with a separate sitting area. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is fabulous on Royal street, which has many art galleries etc., fun to window shop. And only a block away from Bourbon St., but far away from any of the noise. Also only a couple of blocks from Canal St. and Decatur Street, so can walk just about anywhere you want to.
Would definitely stay there again. -Andrea, from Duluth, United States - 4/17/2009
One of the Cleanest Hotels in N.O.
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Monteleone has an old world lobby with a modern spa and fitness center. European feel without being stuffy. Close to everything.
Rooms are very clean and well decorated but small.
We found out the hotel went smokeless upon arrival so we weren't too pleased. They do have a roof deck around the pool where you can smoke but it closes at 10.
We have stayed here in the past, since it and Windsor Court are the two cleanest hotels around N.O. Room service and hotel bar are good but the restaurant isn't up to N.O. standards at dinner.
Staff is always great and Spa is very competent and friendly.

Grand Hotel Gem in the French Quarter
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Rooms were exactly as nice as they looked in photos -- a rare thing. We got a two-room suite for the price of a regular room using Perfect Escapes, even during a convention.
The Carousel Bar has to be experienced to be believed... the barstools actually move (slowly) around the bar!
Loved the location, right in the heart of the French Quarter but far enough from Bourbon Street to keep the craziness to a minimum. Didn't like having to pay $10/day for Internet access, especially when there was no WiFi available. -Anita, from San Francisco, CA, United States - 7/23/2008
Hotel Monteleone Is Very Nice
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Everything is well kept and nice. We love to stay at this hotel for the rooftop pool, but this time it was extremely crowded, and there were not enough poolside chairs. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Parking is expensive, but it always is in N.O. We like to come here to spend our anniversary. -Veronica Etheredge , from Jackson, United States - 7/12/2008

Hotel Monteleone is in a perfect location to explore the French Quarter of New Orleans. The staff are helpful, particularly to first timers to New Orleans, from check in to check out and exude warmth and friendliness throughout.. Facilities are good and well maintained. It provides value for money stay. It is just one block away from Bourbon Street and this insulates it from the noise but yet within walking distance to the more intrepid guests who wish to avail themselves to the delights of Bourbon Street. -Md Agil Natt , from Damansara Heights, Malaysia - 7/1/2008

We reserved a large deluxe
room in advance but the hotel told us that we had been upgraded to that. The rooms are very small. I am glad that we didn't bring our children. On a brighter note, the staff was very friendly and the room was clean. -Marcy and James Harrison , from Pensacola, United States - 2/21/2008
