Overview
This grand and glorious masterpiece is once again welcoming generations of St. Louisans and visitors from around the world. Comprised of two buildings, the Chase and the Park Plaza have been the place of choice for travelers to St. Louis since the 1920's. Whether it is for an overnight stay in the Chase - or a longer residence stay in the incomparable Park Plaza - history continues to be made in St. Louis' premier hotel landmark.
The Chase, built by (and named for) Chase Ullman in 1922, was the destination for upscale business and leisure travelers. The Park Plaza, conceived by Mr. Sam Koplar, (one of the great hoteliers of his time), was created to be the most exquisite residence hotel, serving discriminating travelers.
The Chase Park Plaza's lavishly designed spacious one and two-bedroom guest suites provide the inviting warmth and comfort of an elegant private residence. Every suite features a large, relaxing living/dining area and the convenience of a full modern kitchen -- all discreetly separated from the bedrooms, each of which has its own bath.
Total comfort is further assured by numerous amenities and personal touches, such as king or queen-sized beds, fine cotton sheets, imported European toiletries and extra large towels. There are also a fully stocked refreshment center, digital satellite television and movies, high-speed Internet access and around-the-clock concierge or room service.

Extremely courteous staff, efficient housekeeping. I was upgraded to a suite when they learned I was a frequent guest. Can't say enough- bravo! -Dan Riddle , from State College, United States - 8/7/2009
Beautiful Old World Charm With Modern Conveniences

My wife and I stayed for three nights while attending the Baseball All Star Game. I am sometimes suspect of renovated historic hotels because they often just feel old - not charming. Not the case here. The entire facility is in great condition. Our room was a suite (we got a queen instead of our guaranteed king because the queen had nice view of the park - king did not). Comfortable bed and nice linens. The bathroom is attractive, but a little small. Not too small, but no room for toiletries on the vanity. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Good restaurants and beautiful pool terrace. Also, full movie theaters on site. The West End location is fantastic. An amazing park across the street (bigger than Central Park) with museums and the zoo. Several good restaurants and dozens of boutique shops within three blocks, and a very hip neighborhood with great old homes and tree lined quiet streets. Also, a full grocery store is just one block to the north. -David Wimmer , from Tucker, United States - 7/20/2009
Chase Park Plaza Hotel

I was extremely pleased with Chase Park Plaza Hotel Honeymoon Suite we had. I take my Mom to the Theater there on a regular basis and really enjoy the atmosphere and exciting environment.
I had never had the pleasure of staying in one of the their rooms and I was greatly surprised at the size and comfort of the Suite. I was also "TRULY" happy to have Jacuzzi bathtub and separate shower, which is my dream bathroom.
We were very pleased and will certainly come back when we're able to afford it and without a doubt recommend this hotel to others.

Affordable Luxury

This is our second stay at the Chase Park Plaza. We were on the ninth floor and the club "area" was perfect for our family of 3 because of varied sleeping habits. The variety of times open and food available made our visit to St. Louis convenient and extremely enjoyable. The Chase has 5 movie theaters on the lower level and we were able to see a midnight showing on the first day of "The Dark Knight". Would stay there again in a heartbeat. -John, from Wausau, United States - 7/26/2008
Does Not Live Up to Billing

We have stayed at the Chase in the past, and the quality seems to be deteriorating; sheets with large rips, coffee cups left dirty from past guests, non-functioning TV's, etc.
This hotel now appears at its best as a wedding and reception venue.

Historic and Stylish Hotel in St Louis' Central We
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We were pleasantly surprised by our spacious and well-appointed room - or perhaps it should be called a suite. (Room 249, I believe). Handsome furnishings and decor made our stay in St Louis' "Grand Dame" hotel all the more comfortable. We dined at the hip Eau pub after enjoying a movie at the art-house-style theatre on-site. Many interesting shops and eateries are easily walkable in the Central West End neighborhood. Only two complaints: when self-parking, the attached parking garage is in disrepair and makes for a very unwelcoming entrance to the hotel. Also, the front desk staff, while amply friendly and accommodating, seemed to lack the polish and professionalism of other hotels in this price category. Still, we considered our stay to be an excellent value, as this is truly a stylish and comfortable hotel, located in a great part of town. Perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. -Kent Lynn , from Washington, United States - 1/3/2008
Lovely Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Chase Park Plaza hotel to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and it is obvious the the renovations were carefully planned to retain as much of the original luxury as possible. The room was very comfortable and the service was great. We dined at the Cafe Eau and enjoyed an excellent meal. The meal was fairly expensive, but well worth the price. The location of the hotel in the Central West End is within walking distance of many wonderful shops and restaurants. It is our favorite neighborhood in St. Louis and we plan to return often. -Diane Lindsay, from Litchfield, United States - 10/7/2007
