Overview
Having just completed a $53 million resort-wide renovation, the Resort at Squaw Creek has never been more magnificent. The dramatic lobby overlooks a cascading waterfall and the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains through its floor-to-ceiling windows.
A luxury resort in an idyllic mountain setting, Resort at Squaw Creek rests at the base of Squaw Valley USA, site of the 1960 winter Olympics, and just minutes from California's North Lake Tahoe.
But this is no ordinary Lake Tahoe hotel. The Resort at Squaw Creek offer more than 400 luxurious resort rooms and suites, complete with resort-style kitchens, fireplaces, and LCD flat-screen TVs. Gracious hospitality and full-service amenities led Conde Nast Traveler magazine to rank the Resort at Squaw Creek among the top 50 ski resorts in North America.

Two Day Getaway

We needed to get away from the daily challenges in our lives for a couple of days and this trip was just what the doctor ordered. This hotel, the location and its employees really made us feel relaxed and pampered. We will definitely return in the future and stay much longer. -Clifford, from Novato, United States - 9/29/2009

The price is a little high for the amenities offered. The parking lot is pretty far from the resort. They do have valet but it is overpriced. -Rebecca Hancock , from Plumas Lake, United States - 9/28/2009
Love, Love, Love

I really enjoyed this resort during my last stay. We are going again this winter. The Fireplace Suites were so cozy and inviting. The sofas and beds are also plush and warm. We had a "peaks and mountain view" which made it delightful just to look out and sip wine. We ate at the lovely restaurants for a couple days (which was good) and we bought food to cook. The kitchen made this perfect for our stay. Most of the activities are close by, and if you want to drive into town, the drive is very scenic. We stopped a couple times for pictures. We, and the couple we traveled with, are still raving about it! I would love to buy a vacation home here one day, but for now, the Resort at Squaw Creek is "my place"! - 7/30/2009
This Is by Far the Best Hotel by Tahoe

Resort At Squaw Creek

No room upgrade available; Room on 3rd floor = noise & mosquitoes if sleeping "open air" (our preference). -Gordon Block , from Sunnyvale, United States - 7/14/2009
The Best Stay in Tahoe
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
My husband and I recently stayed several nights at the Resort at Squaw Creek. We had a great time and hope to stay whenever at Tahoe. First, the staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly. This was the shoulder season and without skiing and not yet summer, the place was rather quiet. This time of year they obviously cater to conferences. When we arrived they offered to upgrade us to a suite with living room and kitchenette which was very spacious. The decor and bedding were topnotch and the rooms met your every need. They had a great informal pub, Sandy's, that had a nice patio where we had both lunch and dinner. The only other restaurant that was open was very expensive and had a somewhat limited menu. We had breakfast there but not dinner. We did feel that the main restaurant would have appealed to more guests if it had moderately priced items and a more choices. They have great pools and a magnificent golf course. They did not have a driving range or putting green. -Carol Chell , from Gualala, United States - 6/5/2009
Stay At Resort

We arrived and were able to upgrade to a fireplace suite which was much better for a family of four. There are many activities even after a day of skiing -- like the pool or ice skating or spa or shooting pool, arcade games or playing chess in the lobby. We really had a relaxing vacation and the food is always first rate. -Tina Edraki , from Lafayette, United States - 4/7/2009
